Being ...Cheap..and into recycling...I made this gear shelf...My old shower caddy had the vinyl coating cracking and I needed a new one...so I washed dyed and gave the old one 2 coats of paint...then added a "wall" of duct tape around top shelf so my binoculars would be safe...tapeing tape to tape to strengthen the "WALL"..AND KEEP GEAR FROM FALLING OUT...THE WHOLE PRODJECT TOOK ABOUT 15 MIN. TOTAL...I BOUGHT A NEW CADDY AT big lots FOR $6.00...Opps Sorry about cap loc...anyhow so to make one from a new caddy would not cost much...I'll use mine in my favorite tree hanging of a step I use as a hand hold or in one of the blinds

That's a good idea!  I'd use it if I hunted from a stand but I generally like to still hunt when the conditions allow it.
Seems like you should remove the post, patent it, get it into Cabelas, LLBean, etc and get rich. I'll bet folks would buy something like that.  Maybe even made of nylon netting so it'd be light weight and packable. Could even devise some sort of hard, quiet bottom for the "shelves". Could have different models with different number of "shelves".

I'll only take 30% for the ideas/suggestion...

Ameristep (and maybe some others) already makes and markets one. A 3 shelf with dividers and a cup holder for
around $25.00. It's a great idea though.

Ya I have looked at the commercial ones...Being Cheap when I see objects... pictures pop into my mind... thus the shower caddy gear shelf....
Three years ago I walked by an old equipment packing crate...the following pics will tell you what came to mind...it's still bone dry and in the woods...took my turkey out of it last and this spring...hopefully a nice deer this fall... it cost me around 45.00 dollars to make using recycled materials
