I've eaten a lot of different wild critters but never even considered trying a porcupine.

ever wonder what the bottom plank on and old out house would taste like?...the li'l pincusions are wood eaters and they prefer conifers (evergreens)..ever hear the saying ya are whatcha eat...yep they is like sucking on a fresh cut 2 x 4....tried it...and for the love of Fritzy I don't know why, twice....

we shoot a few porkies every deer season and we enjoy them. strip all the meat from the carcass and then grind it up and make sausage or burger or our favourite . making meat balls with a little garlic, salt, pepper, and a touch of savoury and some rosemary. we then cook them up and use them with any sauce like sweet and sour or just palin spagetti sauce. they always turn out good for us.
my daughters even sliced up some porcupine into thin slices and made a stir fry. came out pretty good too. good hunting to all
The .270Win. in a Remington 700 synthetic is the best all around caliber and rifle there is.I've taken elk moose deer antelope black bears and the odd grizzly. Damn fine rifle.

Do you know why porcupines are so slow.

So when stupid city folks get lost in the woods they won't starve to death.

The visual that conjures up is just hysterical to me. Can you see someone who didn't know any better reaching down to flip it over to start the cleaning process... priceless...
