i have three Shepherds and love them once you zero them which is very easy

They are great scopes and as has been noted once zeroed they are very accurate and seem to hold that zero well also. I like the caliber specific idea and they are good enough that some of our fighting men and women use them daily. Make sure you choose your calibers wisely as they are a bit pricey but then again you most likely won't have to replace them again.

A member on bear03's site lives in England, and he's said that is the only brand he will use. I've never seen them available at any dealers or gun shows in my area, so don't know much other than what Den has said on the site.

Simply Google Shephard Scopes and you will find their website. I used to have to go through another site to get there but you should be able to find them on Google.

I had shephards many many moons ago. Idea was great back then but I had some problems with them. Getting repairs took forever because of a holdup in Japan. I think this has been fixed and if I remember correctly even some of the military is using them.

Thanks for the information, It will be a while before I am ready to make the purchase, just checking my options.
