Can't wait. Just a few more days until hunting seasons finally kick off. Hopefully all those plots and feeders will finally pay off. Good luck this year guys.

No. I wear camo most of the time but have killed more game wearing jeans and a regular old carhartt jacket. Dont believe in permanent stands or trail cameras either. I do have atvs, for the farm, but don't believe it making that kinda noise anywhere you are hunting. I walk a couple miles in with my stand. Grew up hunting with my " old school " uncle. Rarely hunt over food plots just like watching the game and helping them grow. I kill a lot more time in the woods than anything else. I'm in a hospital ICU 12 hrs a day and my hunting time is my escape I hear enough noise through the week so the quiter the better for me.

Just can't hardly wait.  Missed last year (medical) so, I'm over anxious this year.  Been scouting some and do have a few stands. But, mostly still hunt.  We only have deep woods, no fields or food plots. Tried trail cam in one spot and got 92 pictures of squirrels.  My 4 wheeler is mostly for hauling them out.  10-60 years ago was do-able by hand but, it's getting a little tougher.

Best of luck this season.  I'll be in the general vacinity of Nathez Trace.

I have suddenly seen several does in and around my property, even in the yard. Got to get my DR mower fixed so I can knock-down my deer trails and hutning areas in the next week or two. Now that it is cooling off I've had that "feeling" a couple of times early in the morning letting me know the season is approaching.

Good luck this year guys. Haven't seen too many deer yet but the Canadian geese, foxes, and coyotes are tormenting each other just about every morning at the pond. Turkeys have taken over the back pasture. The geese won't let me pass the pond any more, kinda funny. Maybe the deer will be easier to see when all this dang corn gets picked.

So sad. Never done a dove hunt myself. Might nail one from time to time as I find them on my land, but I don't get those flocks. If I ever get my dern bobcat mount back from the taxidermist I want to send him some quail and woodcocks to mount.

Hey Shi, Dove hunting is easy just hang out under the power lines. They are easier to hit right before they land. Ha ha.

That'd be abt right actually. I shot a gray fox once with a bow and proudly told her about it. Her response was "and why are we killing foxes?" So, slumped shoulders and weak-voiced I turned and said something along the lines of "it was pretty cool."
