It's always a bad thing to lose a loved one, but when we get old, we know it's only a matter of time. To lose a 19 month old like this is something that has to be one of the worst tragedies that any family has to face. I know that Tom said no expressions of sympathy were needed, but I was compelled to send him an e-mail, anyhow. Travis is deeply upset by this as well, and I know all of us feel terrible for Tom and his family at this time of great sorrow.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL him ! He will email or call and he will return to his regualr websites when he is ready. I would ask again that no one CALLS OR EMAILS him during this very tragic time. Thanks !!! This is what he has asked be done or in this case NOT BE DONE.

not under General Dis, under News and Announcements but I will remind people that he has apparently requested multiple times that people just leave it alone. Everyone grieves differently and I'd suggest people honor his request.

A small memorial was held yesterday morning at the Chapel on Fort Hood for my Great Grandson.
Jayden will be cremated and while Jess and Ed are still somewhat unsure, tentative plans are to spread some of his ashes in the mountains of Idaho and some in the hills of middle Tennessee.
We have all moved beyond anger and blame but are still struggling with why and acceptance. It will take a while and the void in our hearts is large. We can get through a conversation some of the time now without choking up.
Todd, thanks for letting those on Everyday Hunter know. Bill, thanks for the post on NAHC. Millie, thanks for letting old Jaycee friends on Facebook know. The family appreciates all of your well wishes.
Moses....what can I say....I knew you would call....it helped a lot. Thanks. And you too, Tim!
We are trying and somewhat succeeding at moving on.
Jess and Ed are still trying to decide which charity to name for those that wish to do a memorial for Jayden. I will let you know in next few days.
Thanks again to all for being my friend especially in this difficult time!

This was an e-mail I got from Tom today.
