I know there are those out there that use a pellet rifle to hunt with and I am looking for ideals on how you carry pellets. I currently use empty clear bic pens which works great but would like a better method than having to unscrew the cap every time I load. I don't really like the "pad" type either. I know they sell a pen type dispenser, but hey what fun would it be if you bought it.

i used to use the pad type for both my Benjamin 372 and my RWS 52. now that both the rifles are gone i have an Air Arms 410FAC with a 10 round mag so i no longer need it. but they do work pretty well. now i just load up my mag with 10 round and then just put another 10-20 in the pokect of my camera bag on my hip.

With that link CBANACH put up I use the top Crosman one. It's nice but velcro can be loud when trying to be quiet.

I use a pinch-to-open coin pouch. Also works for .22 rf ammo. I sometimes also use a small leather pocket tobacco pouch.
"But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee. And the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee. Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee, and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind."

i use my old gamo raptor pellet containers that gold plated pellets come in works great just pop the top i like using the actual pellet better then lead also gets alot more velocity and more accurate so its perfect for me anyways because pellets already come in them and just save containers for lead pellets.

I am no expert but I did make a pellet holder from black 1" webbing. figured the length I would need, about 5", folded it about 2" from one end and sewed along the sides to creat a pouch. Then folded the top over to make the closing flap and sewed a small piece of velcro to the pouch and flap. A couple of small hints if you put a pair of hemostates on top of the folds for a few minutes and lock them down it will give you a crisp fold. Also I heated a knife blade and melted two small slices in the back to slip a safety pin through. Now it pins right to the sling. they are always handy and I can get almost 50 in one pouch. Hope that may help you.

I have seen these like you are talking about, which I think would work great for break barrel. I need something that will allow the pellet to be loaded from holder as my Gamo CFX (fixed barrel) has kinda like a half moon shaped thing a ma gig that gets rotated open and then you have to push the pellet in, and is almost impossible to so with your hands. I will probably break down and get the one sold but I like homemade ideals.

I wear western shirts.  I just put them in my pocket.  I used to put them in my mouth between my lips and gum like I used to do with BB's for a slingshot. I figure that if I was going to get lead poisoning.  It would have happened years ago. I'm 60 now.  I don't worry about it.

As odd as it sounds, I put a nice supply of BB's or pellets in the old plastic 35mm camera containers (Actually have a couple of the screwtop aluminum ones.) OR todays common kids candy dispensers. M&M's had one awhile back for bite-size morsels that works great and holds about 150-200 pellets/BB's.

Forgot to mention that Tic-Tac dispensers work well too.

Its really not how to carry a bunch in the woods, but how to dispense and insert, especially with gloves on. My pellet rifle is NOT a break barrel. It is a Gamo CFX, which requires loading different than a break barrel.
