Hello everyone. I have a Sportdog Tek 1.0 GPS+E-Collar. The collar is great however I am having issues with proper fit. My dog is a 6 month old GSP and he is the runt so he is only about 25lbs. Normal shock collars are not part of the band/collar that wraps around the neck, most you can separate the shock portion from the collar. This isn't how it is with the Tek 1.0. It is one piece and they dont sell different collars for it. Because the GPS is so wide the collar is more oval than circle. This leaves a lot of room for slip and if I take my pup out for a run it starts to rub his neck raw. Not only that but most collars allow you to position the collar in different locations around the neck. The Tek 1.0 is heavy and is actually made to rest in one position, the front of the neck. This causes problems too because it wears the hair down making it that much easier for it to rub his neck raw.

Does anyone have any advice on how to better fit this to my dog? I have tried foam inserts and zip ties.

Thanks for the help

Try punching holes in the collar like you would a belt to make it smaller.

I would punch a hole in it but it isnt like your traditional collar. It is a hard rubber and there isnt room to add an extra hole. Thank you for reading and replying though.
