I just won 1 of only 6 bull tags to hunt the Pulblo of Laguna indian reservation in New Mexico.  If you have hunted it or know someone who has hunted the area I would really appreciate some input.    Thanks Bruce

Bruce,

I hunt on the Laguna Pueblo. You should be able to tag out on a nice bull there.

Bruce, I hunt Unit 8 Mt Taylor, Unit 2 Seco and Unit 3 Encinal / Paguate. I have been up to the Silver Dollar Ranch, Unit 12, but that was before it was open for hunting. I have never been on Unit 1 Sanchez / Majors or Unit 9 Montano. I have talked to some flolks that have hunted there before, I am told it is "Rough Country" but they there are some nice Elk there. I am trying to find out if I got a tag for Laguna, if not looks like Texas.

Thanks for feed back Quackhunter Are you a local ? Is there a good meat processor near by ? I assume it is going to be pretty warm ?? Are the bulls bugling during that early sept hunt? I know I cannot have a guide, but do you know of anyone that I could pay to help pack out elk if downed in a really rough spot. Please feel free to e-mail direct at byoungmmg@aol.com Thanks again for your help Bruce
