I am not being dishonest I am just following the guidelines posted on the SS page. If you want to call me dishonest for following their guidelines then so be it. I am not writing any reviews on products I have not tested. Sharing on facebook and twitter is not against any rules. In fact they want you too thus the points you get for it. I am anything but dishonest. I follow rules to the letter. I called SS customer service and confirmed that I am doing the right thing. If i was informed otherwise I would have had them remove those points. I was told that its a way to advertise for free to get their clients products out there. I hope this resolves this issue and those that are wrong in this matter can call SS and confirm for themselves. |

EdD270, you are way behind. This comment was made when SS was first introduced, concerning the membership points not reflecting length of membership. The level of membership does have a weighted advantage. I questioned the fact that as an original Charter Member, why I didn't qualify for more points considering 35+ years of membership........but that was a non-issue according to the NAHC and SS. Now, for the points awarded by "linking" or "liking" a product to facebook; The rules state that 1 point will be awarded for every "like" or "link" posted to fb, and that is how members can build their points towards achieving a higher test level. When we go in and "like" or "link" SS items, we aren't providing reviews, or posting anything that isn't honest. What's wrong with the fact that I "like" a certain product..........say a knife, we all like various items that may be available, but liking something doesn't mean we have tested it. I'm sure many of you have gone window shopping in the past, and just because you happen to like that new 4x4 pickup, and make a comment about how much you "like" it, that certainly is not saying that you took it for a test drive and tried it out!!!!!!!!!! That is exactly what is going on when we "like" a product from SS and it goes to facebook!!!!!!!!!!! How many of you read an NAHC blurb on facebook and "like" it, or see a movie blurb or video and "like" it? It's all the same, and according to SS, that is the easiest way to earn more points. If it wasn't legal, then they wouldn't allow points for it! Get real, and get off your high horse, and join in and earn the points. Like I've noted, there are people with well over 500 and 600 points who are annual members and haven't even tested a level 1 product so far..........and "liking" is how they've gotten their points!!!!!!!!! Besides, the number of points you reach doesn't improve your odds of getting picked for a test product, it only allows you to select better products to apply for testing!!!!!!! Whether or not you get picked, seems to come down simply to the luck of the draw based on your individual profile, and the luck of the draw has been improved by all of the folks who have refused to participate since they feel that somehow the NAHC has screwed them over by improving the program!!!!!!!!!!! Let's face it, we used to never see or hear of regular posters on this site ever getting products to test.........and I damn sure didn't in my 35+ years; so in my case, it's a major improvement and I will follow the guidelines and do everything in my legal power to get those points and apply for those quality test items. I may only get level 1 or 2 items to test, but at least I'm finally recognizing a benefit from all my years of participation in the field testing program...........and who knows, with the points I'm building and the products I'm applying for, I may just end up with something really worth while sometime in the next 35 years as opposed to the previous ones with nada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, once my facebook ban is lifted, I will be busy "liking" every damn thing that SS has and will be legally building my damn points........all the folks who don't "like" it, don't have to follow the guidelines; but, then don't post any beitches about not getting enough points to become eligible for those level 5 and 6 products, I on the other hand will be "liking" every damn thing I can..........and earning more points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The NAMG just added the "Cooking Club" to StuffStuff, so go in and complete the cooking profile for an additional 5 points. They don't have any products available for testing yet, though. |

Thanks RT. I noticed that category this morning when I logged on in response to the "is it working" question. The survey wasn't there then, when I clicked on it it said "coming soon". Thanks |

I just checked and it saved mine and I got the points. No clue why it wouldn't for you. It saved your hunting and fishing profiles, right? I'll ask my standard questions: what browser are you using and did you try clearing the cache? |

I finished my review of the Polystic Glo which you cut out and attach to fishing lures, bobbers, etc.
I used it mainly on bobbers for night fishing and it worked real good. It made them easier to see. The blue-green seems to be my favorite. I also used it on some lures but it seemed to interfere with the action on some. If the product was thinner it would probably be much better.

I just joined not too long ago. added a couple of things I was eligible to test and was actually selected to test out the Frog Lube liquid CLP and solvent combo. I am excited to test it and see if a biodegradeable solvent really holds up and would love to earn more points to test more items. Thanks. I think this is a good thing. |

rjthehunter, did you try to sign up through the NAHC benefits page, or by going to www.StuffStuff.com? Several folks have had some issues, which you can read about by reading this thread from the beginning, but to make it short and sweet, it seems that there is less of a problem if you actually go directly to their site and register from there. |
