Yeah, I got the 25 as well... as I read it, getting more points has to do with testing and providing reviews and also posting the review on other sites like facebook, twitter, and "others", whatever that means.

I read the FAQs and you use your points for whatever level test you do, then get points back for your review. The only one I saw that gave back more points was the level 1 where you got 11 points for a review of a 10 point item. There were bonus points to be had for adding a picture to your review. Gonna take a while to make it up to higher levels!

Just looked again and also has bonus points for posting on other sights about the test item. BUT, I also saw that you only got 45 points BACK for a review of a level 3 item costing you 50 points. Guess you'll need to add pics and do some postings to stay up at that level for another test.

Yup, 25 points. I refuse to use Facefart or Tweeter so no extra points there for me. Put in for a couple of 10 point items to see how things work and to try and gain a few points. I can post a pic no problem!

I'm up to 35 points and not sure how I got the last 5 but maybe it was a FB or Twitter thing? Does anyone here think it is crazy us Life Members cannot qualify for a level 3
item unless we do all that they ask? I guess this new program will weed out a lot of people who do not want to keep up on all the posting required to get points
which is probably the whole reason they went to it...if you do the work, you get rewarded. Simply being a Life/Troghy/standard member will get you nothing special unless you put in more effort than simply signing up to be a tester. Maybe to many were not submitting reviews or ? So were all punished now for what others did or did not do?
Just my opinion so off I go to get some points! I love the priviledge of possibly getting something to test and in the years past, I did get something once a year but it stopped a couple of years ago so if I never get the chance now, it's my own fault! Ha! Keep on hunting! Love the magazine!

I'm level 5 with 184 points. To "point up" link your facebook and twitter accounts. Then for each product hit the two facebook "like icons" and then hit the twitter "tweet" button. youll gain points very quickly. Your welcome for the tip . I'm just waiting to see if ill actually get to "test" the products i've requested

I went into the "benefits" section at the top of the home page and signed up by accessing the site from there. Funny thing is that as a Charter Member since 1977 and a Life Member since 2000, all I managed was level 2 with 30 points. I sent them an e-mail questioning length of membership and the fact that I've never received a test product and received a reply that basically said "tough chit". I also refuse to have anything to do with the anti-hunting/anti-gun sites of facebook and twitter, so no way I'll get extra points for that chit. Someone mentioned posting a picture in your demographics, but I didn't see anything on the site that would allow anything but e-mail addy and date of birth. I also couldn't find anything about picking items I'd like to be in the running for testing. I guess since our former profiles don't count either, my last 35 years worth of test profiles ended up being a waste of effort after all these years!!!!!

I also noticed that in the future, other organizations will also allow their membership to join this same program.  After reading that little tid-bit, I will assume that coupled with the NAHC's 850,000+ members, opportunities will become even less for ever receiving a test item!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't tweet either. I do use FB but only to keep track of my nieces and their young-uns. I don't forward anything out to either, which is why I'm at 25 points and will likely stay there.

I got an email about it yesterday, signed up and am at level 2 with 40 points. It did have something on there that said trophy, and I am a TLM. I didn't link to facebook, but it said that gave 3 points.

I read something about picking products I'd like to test, but couldn't find where to do so. When I clicked on products, they wanted me to purchase them. Any hints??????

Some products you can apply to test, and others have the buy option. I don't get the buy thing, when I clicked on a couple, it just takes you to their website with no other directions.
To find the products, you click on your dashboard I think it was to get there, and you can select products available by level. You need 100 points to be at level 4, but it didn't show any products available for 4 yet.

Field testing has been farmed out and that is that . The new rules of kissing their buts first is probably not going to sit well with most , especially with those that are still giving them dues .
Holly check your emails , there should be a verification of sign up with a link .

Greg, thanks for the info, I did manage to find and apply for 6 products to test. Now we'll see if it takes another 35+ years to actually get something!!!!!!!!!!
