sounds underhanded to me. You can not know about every product. I'm sorry, but that kind of "participation" sucks.

The idea is to SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES with the products. NOT to boost your point total.

I didn't write reviews I just shared what products are on the site. personally I want to be able to test and review the good stuff so I want to have the points to be able to test such products. Now if i was writing BS reviews I could see your point since that isnt the case I will have to disagree with your statement that I am part of the problem.

I said I like share and tweet NOT Write reviews. You get 2 points for a tweet and 1 point for a like and share. Its a way to advertise for them that's why they allow us to do it and reward us with points. I found this information on their site under the FAQ section. Please do your research before accusing me of being the problem.

Well, the WHOLE point of SS is to share information about products that YOU KNOW ABOUT and can recommend or not recommend, and the reasoning as to why you think that. If you can't do that than you are part of the problem.  You're just trying to get points and that sux. IMO.  Dishonest would be a kind description.

I guess you don't understand how the system works Steve. You write reviews to discuss the product and how you feel about it. I DO NOT WRITE REVIEWS on products i don't test. MY opinions do not go into the tweets or likes or shares. They are all pre written forms of advertising for facebook and twitter. Again go to the site and read in the FAQ on how to gain points and you will find the information instead of accusing me of writing false reviews. If you just cant wrap your dome around this advertising concept for stuff stuff maybe i can have customer service give you a call. I am a Honest person and would never write false reviews.

You can earn points by completing various activities in StuffStuff. Earn them by simply setting up your account. Here are some other ways to earn points quickly:

Connecting your account to Facebook (3 points)

Connecting your account to Twitter (2 points)

- Fill out interest questionnaires

- Facebook "Like" a product from StuffStuff (1 point per product)

- Tweet a product from StuffStuff (1 point per product)

- Write product reviews on products that are on our site that you may already own or have used before (1 point per review)

I have read the FAQ, I know how stuffstuff works AND I UNDERSTAND THE INTENT of it. Obviously you do not. It's intended to provide a forum for people to test things and to pass on information regarding something that the have ACTUAL information about.

Obviously you don't give a chit about that and are only out to boost your point total.

Let's just ignore each other from now on please. Ethics is something that you obviously haven't learned yet. I guess that's the way it is today, but it ain't right.  amf

I followed the FAQ, and liked every product on SS, also, but only got about 85 extra points for it..........also, facebook banned me from liking anything for 30 days for following the SS suggestions. Now I can't even post a review or like another link or site, until after the ban is lifted. I have to agree with Karmstrong2 on this one. That is what SS tells it's members to do, in order to gain points, and that's how the guy I posted about had reached 697 points, with only 1 test item.

I would like to know how Karmstrong2, didn't get banned for spamming by liking all of those products, since facebook claimed that posting my likes on my own page.......no forwards or messages.........was considered a violation of their TOS and was spamming, thus my getting banned!! I sent several e-mails to facebooks customer service about this, as well as to SS's support, but none of them achieved a damn thing.
I am now at 212 points, and still have some reviews to link through urls to the process for the Skunk Fusion, so I'm now at Level 6 and hopefully will get something really nice to test at some point. Hell, I love SS, compared to the old field test program, this is fanfuggintabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rthomas4 I spread all the products between three days. I did hunting Friday night, fishing Saturday and handyman Sunday. I guess doing it that way didn't upset the all mighty facebook admins. I wounder why you didn't get all the points I would contact SS.

I spread 'em out over two days, plus I only "liked" products that I could actually use. For example, since I don't bow hunt, I didn't "like" any of the archery stuff. I guess I got the points for everything I did "like".

I've always been adamantly opposed to facebook, but I found out that somehow I was on it, even after I didn't complete the membership in 2008, so I'm only using it to get the SS points and enter some contests.

Well sense I ain't to puter smart and don't know how to like things to facebook I will just have to get the points the hard way .I did link to holly's facebook page .

Joe, go to your Dashboard, select a category, and just click on the "like" button for each item you select. Some of them can also be "linked" which will also earn points. The only ones I linked were actual items or companies that I've used in the past.

I tried to update my "profile" on NAHC product testing and got routed to stuffstuff. I had to register, and go through all kinds of hoops, only to be told that as a new tester I only qualified for level one tests, the really cheap stuff.
All these years as a Life Member of NAHC and this is the thanks I get.
I'm not buying the line that "Frankly, Product Testing has had such a wide appeal that its popularity became a problem; we couldn't keep up with such a high demand. The good news is we've listened to your feedback and fixed the problems by partnering with StuffStuff a new high-powered product-testing resource." I think it's more that they didn't want to invest time and manpower into it anymore, and say an opportunity to sell us to stuffstuff. Maybe that's too harsh, maybe they "referred" us rather than just selling us.

I have to come clean. After SS came into the picture, I did setup a fake twitter account to use. I did link it to my facebook account but that one's real even though I don't logon there anymore. I came to my senses and deleted the fake twitter account just because it wasn't ethical in my mind.

People want to cheat the system and basically lie to get points, so be it. Nothing I can do about that but I'm not.

I can respect that Steve. As I have stated before, it would be easy to "rack up the points" if you wanted to? I would love to have a new bow because I simply love archery hunting, but I won't be dishonest to achieve it. That and I'm just too lazy to post stuff all over the internet to gain more points! LOL!!
