I hate this time of the year!!!! All there is to do is the honey-do-list that I have been putting off for  a while now and boy ole boy has it piled up! Is it September yet! Hope everyone got to get out and have some fun this year. I got my first real turkey hunt and bagged two of them this year and I am now hooked. Like it was real hard to hook me on shooting something else to make the season last longer. Well everyone have a few beers this summer and we will look forward to September for the start of another shotgun season.

I'm working on getting things packed that I don't want military movers to break; however, I'm going through some stuff and tossing it at the same time. A few upgrades here and there, but not trying to acquire too much more stuff.

Hunting season is NEVER over. You still have pigs, coyotes, ground squirrels, and cotton tail rabbits just opened up. Lots of game and non game animals to shoot still. You just have to want to make the effort to want to go out and shoot something.

Bret, while I will agree with you that hunting season never ends, I will add a revision to the entire thread.

Hunting season, for the game I am interested in pursuing, is over. :p

Now that cottontail is open again, and my license is now invalid, hunting season, for me, in California, is over. My new license, and tags, will be for Idaho and Washington this year.

Good luck boys!

Everett sad to see ya go buddy! I am still waiting to get a transfered into upper Oregon or Lower Washington. I wish someone would quit, get fired, or transfer out so I can get in. My first day of the season is Dove opener and Turkey season is the last. That gives me time with the family that way they do not complain so much when I do get to go hunting. I have done a lot of big game hunting in other states so hunting big game in California just doesn't do it for me. Plus DFG does not know how to manage itself let alone any game in the state. If they did we would see more game and be able to get better size game like in other western states.

Galen, it is actually bittersweet to go because of the friends I have made here...which reminds me...I have something I need to bring up to you. LoL. Its something I made after our last turey hunt. Maybe you can get transferred up to WA with your company. If you do, we will definitely get together!

Just waiting for duck season to start and watching the deer in my yard. I got 3 forkies and another bigger deer that my daughter saw and said it had lots of antlers. We also have about 7 does that I'v seen. They are about 30 feet from my back door. I am just going to watch them this year but if they don't get any bigger next year they will be on my hit list.
