hi, i have been out for awhile do to house fire but the good news is my 12 year old son got his first bear on SEP 26 20011
he may be spoiled because we only sat 2 times and he got the bear. it wheighed 250, only had 3 legs, one front one gone, maybe from a trap??
i hope 2012 is better

give your son an "atta boy" from me and my daughters. you always remember that first bear (deer-moose-elk) better than any others..congrats to you too for taking him hunting.. and showing him how much fun the outdoors can be...good hunting in 2012
The .270Win. in a Remington 700 synthetic is the best all around caliber and rifle there is.I've taken elk moose deer antelope black bears and the odd grizzly. Damn fine rifle.
