Took this guy yesterday 5 minutes before dark...he was chasing a sow all over the woods...he weighed in at 329lbs and was 6,2'...a beautiful cinnamon coat..you know your state has a lot of bears when you get one buck tag but 3 bear tags!!! Cheers all and good luck!!

Thanks Bob.....most of the bears we take off our lower ranch have been all color phase for some reason.  5 bears in 3 years off that ranch and 4 were red, cinnamon and blonde...must be the gene...

Great looking Bear. I saw his big brother yesterday near the Illinois river. Same color but maybe a little bigger. It's funny, that isn't a real common color faze but the last two bear I have seen have looked just like that. The one yesterday and one up on Steve's Fork.

Way cool...I have never seen as many colored phase bears as southern Oregon....almost all the bears I shoot have color (other than black).. Saw a beautiful blonde bear last year but he was still too small (about 150lbs) so I am hoping that he makes it a couple more years to get some size....
