Looks like you have a pretty solid pack there. Mine looks about the same with a few minor differences. I carry a garmin GPS instead of a compass (been lost in the woods once or twice, so the wife baught it for me), a fresh bic lighter instead of the magnesium starter, and I carry a 40S&W on my hip (if I need it I want it now).

Yeah I carry my 9mm on my side as well. I usually dont hunt that far away from whare my truck is. Usually I am with in 400 yards or a mile at most. So Im not to worried about geting lost. Thougb it can happen. I think a compass is always good to have in the woods just because its easy to get turned around and if you know whitch way the road is from you when you walk in you can just head that direction and find it. The only bad thing is sometimes you come back to the road and are not sure whitch direction your truck is though thats not a huge problem.

I know exactly what you mean about not knowing which way to go on the road. I got turned around in the mountain woods once and crossed the road my truck was on without realizing it. I ended up hiking to the top of the next highest hill before I realized I passed my truck by just a couple hundred yards.

My vest has way too much sheit in it....been thinking about buying a burro to carry it for me....besides, a burro gives a great shock call...

Not much in mine...slate and a few different strikers...extra gloves and mask...thermacell / extra cartridge and pads...worthers or cough drops ...snack bar and drink bottle..extra shells
I don't need a bunch of calls because I mostly just use my own voice...I combo that with the slate on tough birds

Mine varies with the weather, and where I am hunting. Normally, I just hunt behind my house (250 acres), and this is my typical pack:

Cherokee Sports inflatable decoys (submissive hen with realistic head, jake, and feeding hen), camo face mask, camo gloves, multi-tool (pruners, knife, saw, etc.), DEET spray, Thermacell, 2 mouth calls (1 old, 1 new this season), box call, slate call and striker, crow locator call, water. If we're expecting rain, I'll throw in a packable rain jacket. I typically load my gun with 4 shells, but I've only needed 1 at a time so far. I don't know why I bother carrying a slate call, I have never used it while calling on stand. It doesn't seem loud enough to me. I usually just use a mouth and box call together, mouth call only when they get close.
