Having a hard time finding a NIB Pro Hunter Frame, but no luck. Has anyone have any leads? Have found some Encore Frames on the auction sites but I wanted a Pro Hunter Frame for a .500 S&W Mag., and don't want to pay extra to turn it into a Pro Hunter. Thanks.

Whats the actual difference?
Is it just the swing hammer added to make it a pro hunter?

Since the Pro Hunter is newer, it may just be that they will not appear on the auction sites for a while and if more expensive (I didn't check that), many will decide that the can get along without the swing hammer. Am I wrong or was there a spur setup for contentenders which did the same thing?

A little engracing on the side frame and the swing hammer are the only differences in the two frames. No internal mechanical differences.

www.hausofarms.com lists Pro Hunter frames.
The owners name is Marty, check his site and then email him,or give him a call.
He's a nice guy,and easy to deal with.
I recently bought a barrel from him.
Well packed, fairly priced, and best of all NOT a big box store!

I have an encore pro hunter rifle in .300 win mag and my understanding is this ..... The flex-tech (recoil reducing) stock and different forearm, plus the swing hammer are the only differences, with the stock being the biggest difference. Since you seem to be looking to make one a handgun, the hammer is a reasonable conversion upgrade price wise I would think.

I have 2 older style frames, and just can't bring myself to pay for the swing hammer addition!
If they'ld sell me the parts to install myself yes,but at last check they will only install it for you.
Be aware that an added hammer spur WILL void your warantee on your Encore!
