Hi, I'm looking to buy a 410 shotgun for a truck gun and also for my grandson when he gets older.  Has anyone compared all the 410's out there?  I was hoping someone could give me a good idea which way to go.  I'm leaning toward the Rossi due to price and size.  Any thoughts Guys?  Thanks

I bought a mossberg model 500 off a buddy and I just love it.Not the most powerful gun but I use it when I am just walking in the woods for critters I have to say I love it.I would not grab it if my life was at stake but it is a nice round to play with.

I bought my son a couple of Rossi's while he was goring up and they all functioned well, the only problem I saw with them was when the factory sized them down to a size that fits kids properly you end up with a very light firearm that due to its size and weight is great for a kid to carry and aim with, but in the shotguns at least you end up with a considerable kick. I was surprised how much felt recoil his .410 made. Other than that he liked them enough that he has bought a couple more since he has been on his own. Hope that helps some.

Did you find one yet? I have two I will sell. Not sure if they would work for you.

One is a Stevens .410 pump. It needs work on the ejector. The clips don't always grab the shot shell after firing. I will sell it for $50.00. It works fine other than the gun doesn't always grab the spent shell.

The other is a barely used Stevens Model 311 Series H side by side shotgun. Manufactured by Savage Arms in Westfield, Massachusetts. It is chambered in .410 and has 26" ventilated rib barrels. The gun will shoot both 2 3/4" and 3" shells. I do not know the chokes, but other listing for similar guns state full and modified. Savage was not able to help as the gun was manufactured late 80's early 90's. I inherited the firearm.

Although not fancy with any special engraving or checkering, the steel and stock are in fine condition. The gun has never been carried in the field. No scratches. I have shot it less than 20 times. There are no issues. I don't use it. I want to sell it in order to buy something I will use.

Asking price is $400.00.

For either deal - Buyer pays the FFL dealer. I will pay shipping.

If interested, let me know. I will be glad to send pictures.

Mossberg made the model 500 .410 pump with a ribbed barrel for years then stopped production and then for whatever reasin they made them again for 2 years and I bought 2 as 1 was for a friend who couldn't find one and the other was for my son who is now a grown young man. It has as sadi the ribbed barrel an has probably has no more thqan a box ox 25 shells shot through it. I will be willing to sell it for $350.00 with the buyer paying his FFL trnasfer fees as well as shipping cost. my email address is bigdawgwalls@yahoo.com
