i hunt in the great state of pa.i was stopped by a game commisioner due to the camo back pack i had on. i was told it covered the orange on my back. i have always worn this pack and never had problem before this. i need to find an orange back pack. it has to be large enough to carry the day worth of stuff. i go out 1 hour before sun up and come out when its dark. i checked the big sporting story ans the internet, no luck. does anyone out there have any thoughts. i hate to have to put a piece of orange cloth over my pack.

Check on Ebay to see who the manufactures would be. Look them up and see who carries them. This would give you an idea as to where to start looking. OR, just purchase one off Ebay.

Just buy a blaze orange "game cover" to go over you current camo back pack.

BTW - next time ask the game commisioner how many square inches of blaze orange does the state require !

I haven't hunted in PA for a while but I'd guess it's worded something like:  "250 square inches of fluorescent orange on the head, chest and back at all times is required"  ; I also believe the regs may vary by season and areas.

We have orange regs in NY and I have no issue with them.   I wear a full suit of blaze orange camo pattern and I've had deer walk within 5 feet of me.  You have to remember, just because it looks one way to you, it looks nothing like that to a deer.  That's why all of the hype about camo just cracks me up.  Sure, spend a lot of money so people can't see you.... again, you look totally different to a deer. UV is probably a bigger issue to take seriously.

And to the OP:  Try googling   blaze orange backpack   and you'll get some hits

cut a piece of an old vest, sew it in to the inside of one of the outside pockets of the pack, when you leave or enter the woods pull it out when you sit tuck it in
