i hope so too. I will have to upload some more of my pictures, there is actually a larger 8, he got into a brutal battle over a doe during the rut and broke off all by his brow tine on one side. When I get a chance I will get a picture of him on here. He also made it, but he was a nocturnal SOB.

Nice, lookin forward to it. lol I know all about those nocturnal SOBs, they can be a real pain in the azz. But thats how they get big, and the challenge is what makes it fun.

jbw where do you usually put your mineral licks? On hill tops or creek bottoms? Near water or bedding areas?

Rmoore95 I have them in all kinds of different spots, but all of them are near a stand! The deer don't really hit the minerals during bow season around here, but they are used to using that spot because they have hit the minerals all year. I might put them by a trail leading to a food source or near a fence crossing to get them used to using that trail. and I don't put more than one on a farm,,,don't want to give the deer more options than I can cover! I hunt 11 farms, and have about 62 stands up, but I only have 9 mineral licks. They are better for pics than hunting and the deer will find them where ever you put them.

I didn't think the bucks would still have antlers this late? got lots of does coming to the salt too!

This buck stopped by just last night. people have been shed hunting here for months! I'll probably take a look when I quit getting pics of antlered deer!

That is crazy that they still have their antlers, not even a single side has dropped yet. I wonder if that could be the case for me as well, I went looking this past weekend and didn't find a single one. I set my trail cam up though, so maybe I will find out soon.

It is absolutely crazy that some bucks still have there antlers! I would say your date must be wrong on your camera if I did not see one just this past Sunday. A tall spike horn ran right through the yard of my gun club while a few of us were there hanging out. I wonder if it has something to do with it being such a mild winter and the deer still being able to get to the ground minerals due to no snow?

IF IT WALKS FLIES AND HAS A SEASON, I HUNT IT!!!!

We did have a very mild winter here, and this mineral lick is 30 yards from the property line. The property on the otherside of the fence is controled by a big outfitter, and he plants tons of food plots for the deer, so they allways have an easy winter there. I did find 2 sheds in the area (small) last weekend, but a buddy of mine 40 miles south of here in N.E. Iowa has found 26 sheds so far, he has a few cameras out too and says at least half of the deer in his area have shed. I had 632 pics on this camera in one week, and I didn't see a single deer that I could tell had shed, although lots of the pics might not have been good enough to tell if it was a buck that had shed or doe.

Checked my cameras today, and got some interesting pics.

There are 7 deer in this pic. That might be a record for me in 1 pic.

He's got bumps on his head where he is going to grow a big set of antlers for ME someday!

This is not one of my best stands, but I get some good pics here, and I killed my biggest deer (my avatar pic) 2 years ago. You can see my ladder stand in the back ground. I just started preping the area for my first ever food plot today. Gonna plant brassicas so they have some late season goodies!
