Those are some great pics from everyone. The best I have is this pic of what appears to be twin spikes...look close in the background for the second one.

I'm not sure how well your gonna be able to see this since I had to cut the picture quality in half to get it on here....

This looks like a buck with a really big right side and screwed up left side...

Here it is blown up.

And here's an outline of what I think his rack looks like. Kinda cool I've heard that deer with one messed up side usually were injured (broken leg, shot, hit by a car). Wonder what his story is???

Sure would like to see what that non-typical side looks like thats a lot of horn on the "good" side, if there is that much on the other it would sure look good on a wall. Not that it wouldn't be nice if it only has what you can see that is. More sweet pics, thanks.

Yeah, my first thought was "Dang! wish he had two typical sides"......... oh well. I still think I'll let an arrow fly if he walks by me this coming archery season, since he's probably not gonna amount to much more than what he is already.

Its hard telling what is blocked from view in that pic, it could be really neat. He don't look all that old, at least I wouldn't guess he is from his build, strait back line and belly higher than chest. Obviously no baby but he looks like he is still in the under 4 1/2 yr. age bracket. If he grew that way do to an old injury he may continue to grow "lop-sided", iffin' that is you don't put an arrow through him. If you do please post the pics though.

Yeah, your right on about the age, I didn't pay much attention (I guess I couldn't get past the rack lol). I hope the funky rack is from an injury and not just bad jenes. Last winter my uncle shot about a 5-6 year old buck during ML season about 10 miles from where this pic was taken, that had a set of funky lookin antlers that looked alot like the one wierd side on this deer just alot taller. The last picture I posted is of a buck at the same spot with a left side that is quite a bit smaller than the right. Makes me wonder???

Oh, don't stop posting Willyg, you've got some great pics , too! I think its safe to say we both are going to have some great hunting opportunities this year. Do you bow hunt, gun, muzzleloader, hand gon, or maybe all the above?

here are a few good pics left over from last weekend

I wanted to post a little series, some of them are repeats from yesterday, but even though the bucks are still in velvet, it looks to me like they are starting to posture and express dominance a little in these pics. The antlers are getting pointier and I got a feeling I might get some hard horn pics pretty quick on some of the bigger ones. Let me know what you think, do these 2 bucks look like they aren't going to be buddies much longer?

Lol I'll be able to check my camera's probably Wednesday of next week, so ill have some more pics then. Bow hunting is my passion, I also love rifle hunting with my 7-mag and the good old CVA smoke pole So almost all of the above, just not the hand gun. How bout you?
I'm guessing it can't be to much longer till they lose there velvet. I can't wait to start seeing all the fresh rubs in the woods! Only 36 more days till archery season starts in MO!!!

This will be my 39th season of bow hunting, thats my main deal, but I also hunt deer with a handgun and a muzzleloader. I use a rifle when I go out west for deer, but don't choose to use a long gun around home for deer anymore other than the muzzleloader. I do hunt coyotes ALOT around home with a rifle, a rock, the bumper of the truck, or whatever I happen to have when I see those little deer eating $@&%;#'s
