I finally got out and set up my first 2 trail cams for the year today. I know therre is nothing but slickheads, but I hope the cameras are working. I searched for sheds while I was out and found my first of the year, its a pretty nice one too!

 I got a new phone and used it to take the shed pic, I'll see if I can make it a little bigger

That should be a real nice one this fall, if he is still around. Good luck, hope to see some pics of him sporting his new headgear this fall, maybe even on your tailgate.

I checked my cameras for the first time. I had 2 cams out. one had lots of pics, the other, not so much. Here is a few turkeys that came by.

Here is a buck, he has just started to get bumps on his head. its a pretty good size deer, I hope he hangs around.

We are still getting snow here and there. I don't think winter is ever going to end!

I added another camera while I was out there, maybe I'll have more next time!

Yeah this late snow has really kind of been a drag, I have been itching to get started on my food plot work.

I checked a few cameras this afternoon, got this real nice picture of a doe

Its been really nice out the last few days, but it supposed to get cold and snow here again tommorrow, then it supposed to rain through the weekend. Of course my 5 day turkey season starts tommorrow. Here is a buck, you can see his bases getting read to put out some antlers.

Here is a pic of a Racoon, I took up coon trapping last fall so I'll keep an eye on him.

We got 12 inches of fresh snow yesterday, on the first day of my 5 day turkey season. I've never hunted turkeys in the snow on in snow camo, but I got a jake first thing this morning!

 

I checked a couple of cameras yesterday, got a few pics from the blizzard we had here last week

The streaks are the snowflakes coming down, it really snowed hard but it melted in a few days

A  doe and 2 yearlings. I wonder when I will get the first fawn pics of the year?

 

I really like the close-up pics! Looks a little rough, starting to loose the winter coat.

Checked some cams, the does seemed pretty feisty. I have 4 cameras out, and  everyone of them had at least 1 deer fight
here is some of the best... This first doe looks pretty mad!

and somebody had to get kicked!

Talk about crabby!

 

 

I got a few nice pics of bucks starting to grow antlers too!

 

 

That one has some good looking nubs .Might have some good horns .
