I see they are now introducing one new model of 1911, the SR1911. I bet these will be hard to find for awhile. Is it just me, or is Ruger introducing new products faster than they did in the past?

I think it's Ruger's reputation for rock solid construction that's going to drive people to consider getting one of their 1911's. I know I'm already getting itchy. |

Beautiful gun. Browning 300, it does seam that Ruger has came out with more new models lately to me as well. Three in the LC (light carry) alone. One of which the LC9 has found its way onto my belt, very happy with the purchase by the way. |

I'm a fan of Ruger, I own more Ruger's than any other brand. Maybe someday I'll add the 1911, although it's not the highest on my list right now. Let's see if they expand that line or limit it to just one. |

Wish they would bring the .32 H&R Bisley back even if only a limited run and maybe a stainless .22 101 with six inch BBL.in fact a 6" 101 in .32H&R would be nice too! |

rburrows I oove my Rugers too! I have one of the Bisley 32H&Rs on a Single Six frame.I believe it was made on a larger frame at some time also. I love it. Picked it up for like $200.00 with a few rust spots on it. It cleaned up fairly well. I think it will make a great b/u gun for dispatching wounded deer, and for coyote hunting. I can actually hit a paper plate consistently at 50 yards with it. The only issue is lack of ammo available. Gotta save for a set of dies! I also have 2 single six 22s and a 357 Blackhawk. |

Shooting times' writers sure seem to like it and they put it to quite a test from what I read. |

Yep, 1500 (Pretty sure it was 1500) rounds without cleaning it, and the groups got tighter. No fail to fire issues the entire test, And I believe it was 5 different brands of ammo. |

Just checked GunBroker.com and saw 4 Ruger SR1911 for between $720 to 800. That's not a bad price. I'm sure Rugar is making a real nice 1911. I know there other firearm are real nice. I have several and would consider a Rugar 1911 myself sometime in the future. |
