This post is a prime example of what we are trying to make you people see. Some people whine here, and others try to help them by directing them to c/s or the contacts links on the site, but they (The original complainers) obviousely strive not to read/utilize and comprehend the aid that is offered. THEY JUST WON"T STOP COMPLAINING!!!! PLEASE MAKE THEM GO AWAY!!!! I have a new bit of advise for future whiney posts. To those that post whiney complaints I will simply reply "THEN QUIT THE CLUB!" "You will be one less useless, greedy, whiney freeloader that the rest of us will have to tolerate." Gimme 2 days, and I can almost guarentee you that someone (And it will probably be a newbie!) will give me the first opportunity to use my new reply. Gosh!; this is S-O-O-O-O old. Hey webbie; why don't you start a new forum specifically for these people? You can call it "The Whiners Circle of freeloading fools." |

Shootin'J, As you and I have noted in the past, most of these folks obviously didn't bother to read the membership agreement in the first place, and secondly every single gripe, complaint, and beitch (as I repeatedly advise) has been asked, and answered somewhere on this BB. Even when given the information on how to contact customer service, many of these whiners continue their rants, so obviously they aren't capable of following simple directions posted in reply to their rant! Like I've started commenting, same old sheit--different sheithead!!! Also, I'd be willing to bet that it probably won' even take 2 days!!!!!! As for your suggestion to webby, we'll probably have this entire thread deleted, since we aren't being PC!!!!!!!!!!!! |

i really enjoy the forums and the posts mostly. but damn shootin you hit the nail on the head with yours. it was what i've been thinking exactly and you put it down on the post perfect. you join the club for the mag and the knowledge freely shared on these posts( and some times the "off humour" ). if you joined for the free stuff please don't become a life member and then just drift away when your membership expires. oh yeah..quietly drift away. good input as usual rt. |

Well folks; I guess an apology is in order. But I am glad to say that I was wrong. No complaints for 2 days (That I saw anyway.) I guess the whiners are in spring break for a couple days. (I should have originally said a month instead of 2 days.) Oh well it was a peaceful 2 days. |

I agree. The whining is excessive and takes away from the regular dialog that should be going on with a hunting forum. |

just curious why you guys seem to think it's OK for you to whine and ***** about the whiners and *****ers? seems to me you are doing the same thing? the intelligent thing to do would be to ignore their posts? or does this board have new board cops that think they have to respond to everything? people crack me up. complain about complainers. not sure, but pretty sure they are NOT breaking any of the TOS. so, except for trying to keep them from speaking their piece, what's the point? and the continuing pointing out of the "fine print" is a joke. don't believe that anyone here read it. so why the continual pointing out of it?
don't care if anyone responds. reading the hypocrisy is worth the humor it provides.

and flintlock, this is NOT a hunting forum only. those do not last. want proof, how's the archers choice board doing? want more proof? look at the number of posts and views and see what the most popular sections are.

Me being a supervisor I get complaints all the time from my workers not getting paid enough. I tell them they don't have to work here, they are free to work some place else. Some one can have my $20 cabelas certificate. I buy whole sale so it doesn't do me any good. |

Hypocrit; Ignorant; what's the difference? Can't "Ignore" an opportunity to possibly help a fellow member. It is those that "Ignore" the fine print or the opportunity to help/better themselves or a fellow member that are at the short end of things. This isn't a "ME" world. If one wants something, then they must work to get it. As so many of our fore-fathers did. And to offer that info to someone else doesn't make them a hypocrit. To do nothing and complain is just that. Complaining. To offer help and explain the negative response from the ignorant is not hypocrocy. It's merely offering the end results for others to see. Any personal feelings included are just personal "opinions", and even an idiot OR hypocrit should be able to muster up the respect for that. What would life be if we all "JUST IGNORED" all of the negative things that happen in society? I guess we would all just be hypocrits. |

hypocrisy is saying one thing and then doing(saying)something else. wonder if we have an example anywhere?
"(The original complainers) obviousely strive not to read/utilize and
comprehend the aid that is offered. THEY JUST WON"T STOP COMPLAINING!!!!
PLEASE MAKE THEM GO AWAY!!!! I have a new bit of advise for future
whiney posts. To those that post whiney complaints I will simply reply
"THEN QUIT THE CLUB!" "You will be one less useless, greedy, whiney
freeloader that the rest of us will have to tolerate." "
and now, you say this -
"Can't "Ignore" an opportunity to possibly help a fellow member."
so first you tell them to quit the club and go away, then you say you are helping them. that is the definition of hypocrisy.
ignorance - not knowing the difference.
and I love this one. shame on you for breaking the TOS.
"To offer help and explain the negative response from the ignorant is not hypocrocy."
so you call people who have negative responses ignorant? who are you to call someone else ignorant? you're a member just like they are. what makes you less ignorant than them? because you've been here longer? if that's the case, you are more ignorant than most here due to the time you've been here. sounds pretty stupid to me.
this board, and all boards out there on the WWW, are for ALL members to use as they see fit. if they want to complain, it is not up to you, or anyone else to tell them to stop. they paid their dues just like everyone else on this board. and just for my own little bit of FYI. wondering if you would tell any of the long time members of this board to stop whining/complaining? have noticed no one says anything to the old timers when they complain about the new trophy life membership. so being the curious person I am, why is that? do the folks that have been here more than a year or two get more respect(for lack of a better word), than the new folks? and if so, why? aren't they complaining, also? shouldn't they be reprimanded, also? if webby doesn't have a problem with it, why does another member? must not be hurting anything. hell, they have 329,646 members on this board. of course, since some have passed away, that number may be skewed just a bit.

The original point was obviousely missed or misunderstood, and I don't care to get into a heated argument over it. If I mislead anyone, my apologies are offered. To be a long term member and experience years of shortcomings is one thing. And I believe that the "Old timers have earned the respect of the other members to make their statement; Not complaint. (And it usually isn't based on "I didn't get my free stuff.) For a newbee to come in and plainly gripe (Usually in one of their first 10 posts,if not their first) about not getting freebies is another. Especially after the "Old timers offer a helping hand. TLC, I see you have 4k + posts. That means you have been around for awhile. And as I read your posts and responses, I respect your ideas behind them. I may or may not agree with them, but I still respect them. I don't ignore them and complain anyway. That is the point I was trying to make. You say hypocricy is saying one thing and doing the opposite. Well saying ignore the complainers and then responding to what you took as my complaint would be an example of that, wouldn't it? (Again, respected.) Your example of my so-called hypocricy was taken backwards. I first offered the help, then when it was ignored, I stated go away. I think you are seeing it as I tell one to go away and move on to help the next. And telling them to go away is comparable to your statement of ignoring them. It just "states" that they are being ignored. You can only hit your thumb with a hammer so many times before you say ouch. You see, we feel we can't ignore the opportunity to help someone (Our fellow members). It's just not our nature. The biggest drawback in that, is that computers/web boards do not have the ability to communicate feelings and understanding. That is left to us, and unfortunately we all are not wizards of the typed word. We don't need to throw daggers back and forth here. I'm sure we can both agree on something of all of this, I just have to figure out what it is or would be. 99% of the posts on these forums are posted with good intentions behind them. If they could be spoken directly, I'm sure things would be alot clearer for the members from the word go. The 1 % that aren't, are mostly ignored, but the new harsh complaints about not getting free stuff fall into that 1% in my book. Again, to post and ask for help, get it, and then act on it and respond is one thing. But to ignore the help/avenues offered and down the club is another. Remember the old clich'e; "Ignorance isn't the answer." I believe in that, and it has saved me alot of headaches over the years by reading that fine print and knowing and understanding what I was getting in to. |

Actually I think they are referring to the free knife and cookbook that is offered to you when you become a memeber I too have not received said items that I and I believe we all feel that we paid for with our membership dues. This is what I believe that everyone is talking about.
