To all Hunt Club Members, Just prior to the opening day of Indiana Archery Season, I purchased a new pair of LaCrosse Alpha Burley Boots 800 grm insulation in a nice camo pattern in size 10. Within 2 weeks of ownership, while climbing into a deer stand, a pine limb punctured a hole in my new boots. I called LaCrosse and spoke with a representative, I asked if I could send in the boot for repairs that I would gladly pay for. I was told. "No, but we will immediately send you out a repair kit." This occured about October 15th. As the end of Ocober approached I sent them am E-mail, after 3 or 4 days, I recieved no response, therefore, I sent them a second E-mail, still no response. Archery season is gone, shotgun season is gone and muzzle loader season has come and gone with still no reply from LaCrosse. Three months have passed and still no reply, I think our members should be aware that #1 Apparently the rubber in the Alpha Burleys which is comfortable, must not be durable enough for the rigors of deer season. #2 Apparently LaCrosse Boot Company is not a consumer friendly corporation. The least they could have done is send me some form of reply. I know that I will have to purchase a new pair of rubber boots prior to next season but they definitely will NOT be a product from the LaCrosse Boot Company. Dale from Indiana |

Wow, I have three pair of alphas in different gr insulation for different parts of the season, one of which is my first pair that are 5 years old, and the newest just over a year. Never had a problem with the boots, in matter of fact I hunt pine timbers and have jamed broke branches into them prity hard and have yet to puncture any of them. I have delt with CS on the sole of my first pair and they sent me a tude to fix it, I have no complaints and plan on buying both my sons a pair of lacross hunting boots and myself another pair. As far as wolverines I had several pair as did my brother prior to getting my alpha's and alpha burlys and they never lasted as long as the lacrosses. Like I said my first pair is redy to exceed 5 years and will more than likely last another 3 or 4 if not more. |

I've never had any of their rubber boots, but Travis and I both wear their snake boots, and both pair of them are over 10 years old. |

Ron I personally can attest to the durrability of their rubber boots, I have dragges mine across barbed wire, thorn bushes, the mean ones and the list goes on, I hunt in some prity narly stuff on our farm and have yet to rip, tear or punture any of mine. so brotha man must have really wooped them suckers. |

I bought a pair from Gander Mt., 1200 gram, the first time I wore them my left foot got wet and froze. After inspecting them I found a flaw in the sole that wasn't glued right allowing water in. I took them back and traded them for a pair of burley SST's, 2000 gram that were on sale from $189 down to $139. They work great but still get cold on stand when it gets below 30 degrees? I've worn wool socks, foot warmers, cold weather under armor socks and same results? I'm thinking of putting reflective insoles in them that direct the heat from your feet back up to your feet instead of loosing the heat through the sole. If I put my hand in them, the sole always feels cool? Beats me? I expected more for that price. |

Punched a hole in the upper part of my 1200's a few years ago. Patched it with Duck tape. No problems, hasn't leaked. Probably wouldn't work if the hole was in the sole. As for warmth, the worst socks I own are Under Armour. I bought 4 pair a couple of years ago and my feet get cold everytime I wear them when it is cold. My $6 Marino wool socks are a lot warmer and do a great job of wicking away moisture. |

If it's 30 degrees or lower, my fat azz is going to be wearing two pairs of heavy wool socks, two pair of long underwear, two shirts and a heavy pair of pants, coveralls, and a heavy coat!!!!!!!!!!! Hell, I might even build a fire!!!!!!!!! I think the coldest day we had this past deer season was about 34 degrees, but it warmed up into the upper 50's. |

Are Genius socks a brand name? Where can I get them? I used to think that my feet sweat walking to the stand, but the last time I wore them I only walked a 150 yards to my stand out behind my house. After two hours of 23 degree weather my feet had enough. I can walk all day long in any weather with them, just can't sit long? |

if your feet are gettin' cold, your boots are probably too tight.
