I'm no lawyer, thank God, but I see this as two sides of the same coin. You have your interest, hunting. The landowner has his interest, his livlihood and ability to earn a living for him and his family. Sometimes getting the answer you want is all based on how you word the question. Q1: "Mr. Landowner can my BIL hunt with me to assist me?" Q2: "Mr. Landowner I want to let you know that I really appreciate the opportunity you have afforded me and I reallly like your property and will do my utmost to respect your rules. As you are probably aware, in reality he probably isn't, I have a few physical issues that are challenges not presented to many other hunters." Describe limitation and difficulties here but keep it descriptive and SHORT! Q3: "I have a BIL that is willing to help me with this hunt and I am wondering what you require so that it's OK for him to assist me. He would NOT be hunting, only assisting me. Is there some way we can come to an agreement on this?" Often the response receieved is because one doesn't understand, or only partially understands, the situation. It is your job to make them see your side. Good luck and have fun. Biker |

I just got back from a 2 week hunt and yes like most of you have major back ploblems .I will not allow them to cut on me as my brother did and it made him worse .I do not hunt from stande any more as my legs go out from undre me at any time .Never know when .When i leave camp i tell my wife what area i am going to be hunting and about what time i will be back .I can not do the walking thang much because of heart attacks that limit that .I do love my hunting so i just keep going .I am on several differemt meds for arthritis as well .Just about every joint has problems .But i still hunt with my bow and my rifles .Still do some bird hunting .This can put me down for as long as a week at a time as just getting up is a pain and will need help .But like i said ILOVE MY HUNTING . |

I SEE I'M RATHER LATE IN RESPONDING TO THIS POST BUT WILL DO SO NONETHELESS. BEEN A PARAPLEGIC FOR 30 YEARS NOW AND HAVE BARELY MISSED ANY HUNTING BECAUSE OF SUCH. I DO ADMIT I AM FORTUNATE TO BELONG TO A HUNTING CLUB THAT ALLOWS ME TO TRAVEL VIA ATV TO MY GROUND STANDS WHERE I HAVE WHEELCHAIRS PERMANTELY STATIONED. THAT BEING SAID, I DO HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO OFFER. THEY ARE MANY ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY THAT OFFER PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED LOCAL HUNTS. (LOCAL TO YOUR AREA) I WILL MENTION ONE IN PARTICLUAR BUT I AM NOT ENDORSING IT. I USE THE NATIONAL WILD TURKERY FERDERATION (NWTF) OUTREACH PROGRAM CALLED "WHEELIN' SPORTSMAN" FOR A MEAR 30.00/YEAR YOU HAVE LOTS OF BENEFITS. GO TO WEB SITE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. AGAIN, I AM NOT ADVERTISING FOR THE NWTF MERELY STATING THEM AS AN OPTION. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS |

hbanta, we know about the Wheelin' sportsmen, but why did you yell in your post? When you type it all in caps, that's yelling( just so you'll know). It's my understanding that even if an individual is cash strapped, the NWTF's Wheelin' Sportsment will still offer assistance at no charge for many of their events. We, the NWTF members help defray that costs through money raised at NWTF events and special donations, item sales, etc. throughout the year. The NRA also has programs for disabled and mobility impaired hunters, as well, as the BADF through Buckmaster's! All it takes is to ask for their help!!!!!! |

| NRA LM, NAHC LM, Buckmasters LM, Second Amendment Foundation, GOA, NAGR, Palmetto Gun Rights, DU, NWTF, QDMA, Everyday Hunter,OYOA, ASAdspalliance,D& DH, and PROUD SC redneck REBEL for life. If the South had won the war, Obama wouldn't be in the White House. |

Drrmwall, if you have not already, go to stenumspineinstitute.com and check out the M-6 implant. It is pricey but looks so promising that could i come up with a way to get it I would go in a heartbeat! Good luck, Acts_ten_dieter.
