greedy rotten people. while it would be nice to get some free stuff, make do with what you have and read the boards and magazines and LEARN how to use what you have most effectivly. |

jpoh, short answer is NO. Only a completed written report is accepted, there isn't any where on this site, nor the other site that was originally set up for that, anylonger. |

Pay attention, as here comes the education. Very few if any will ever get items to test. Those that do are more than likely those that pay for the books that get sent with no request from the member for the books. The goal here is to keep getting funded by selling your information and your interests to other organizations at a high profit. Those other organizations will then mass mail you stuff that just happens to be what you are interested in. It's called targeted marketing. The free stuff this place promises is just another hook in this marketing gimmick. If some members tell you that they got a nice knife or even a scope, most other members expect stuff and will wait to see if they get lucky. Truth be told, the hunting club purchases items with the profits they make from selling your personal information to buy the very gifts they give away. It's an endless cycle, they'll continue to make money off of their members and will occasionally drop some items in the mail for those select few (probably the life members who have really sunk money into their system) as some type of reward. Don't be mad...it's just business. |

For the 50,000th time, on the 50,000th forum and the 50,000th thread, I'll give y'all the facts. Actually cstaylor, that's about as far from reality as it can get. Number 1, the NAHC never ever in any way, shape, or form; actually promised that members will get items as freebies for testing. What they did guarantee was that every member would have the opportunity to get randomly chosen based on their profile for a test item. As a member for over 35 years, my profile has never been randomly selected. Also in the membership agreement when you joined, you agreed for the company to periodically send you items for preview and potential purchase. All you have to do is mark the item "refused return to sender" and drop it back in the mail. Whether or not you actually purchase any of those items has nothing whatsoever to do with the field testing, as they aren't a part and parcel of the same division of the company. Finally, the different companies actually do donate the items that are tested, but the number of items donated can't come anywhere near the number of members of an organization with nearly 900.000 members, so the odds of getting selected, and the items to be tested provide a pretty small % of total membership with the actual test items.
The company does sell the membership lists to companies like Holstead Jewelers, and several insurance companies and other firms who will solicite your business as a result of your name being on the membership roles. This is common and this company isn't the only one to do so.......not making an excuse, just stating the facts. Most of us have gotten wise to these rip-off offers, and simply toss them into the circular file without even reading them.
BTW membership level doesn't improve or decrease any pros or cons offered by the NAMG, the NAHC, or any other affiliated organization. Having been here from day one as an orginal Charter Member, I've seen everything, been through it all, and believe me, I can tell you the "truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" about this company that we have all contributed to. |

HOT DANG ! Got a test item.A real to life test item. Came home and was just messing around and just happen to look on the kitchen table . Saw a package sitting there so I looked to see what it was. Danged if it was from NAHC. Opened it and a package of Rage broadheads to test. |

I've gotten three items to test over the years. IT's kinda funny about the timing of getting these things. You get them during the off season when there isn't anything going on hunting wise that these things would be tested on. Or, you get something you can't use. Example, I don't bow hunt. I got some doe in heat filled arrow heads that you shoot into a tree with a used up arrow from your spot in a tree stand or blind. Pretty neat idea. If I bow hunted. Or, hunted whitetail. At the time. Iwas hunting mulies. I really don't think that stuff would work on mulies being it came from a whitetail. I think that they are area specific too. Given what the deer are eating in the area they are in. I gave them to my brother in law to use. Then, they expect you to give them an answer within a certain amount of time about how you feel about this item. It's usually during the time you would'nt ,or couldn't use the item to be tested. I haven't gotten anything in 4 or 5 years now. Can't remember what the other two were. Don't feel too bad if you haven't done it yet. You really don't get anything real expensive to test. Or, anything that you could use more than one time. I do have to admit that some of the things are actually kinda cool. I have gotten the books too. That I didn't order by the way. With these boooks was a note saying that they are a gift from the club. I didn't have to pay for them. Next thing I know. I get a bill from the club wanting me to pay for them. I sent them a copy of the note along with the books with a note that I didn't order them, want them or, need them. Especially if they expect me to pay for something that was supposed to be a gift. billing tried two more times to get me to pay for them. I sent them a letter telling them that I didnn't have the books anymore. I sent the "free gift books" back to them. And that if they kept hounding me. I would contact the BBB about the billing dept. That stopped it. It also stopped me from getting anything from the club. Which I was getting pretty regularly. Like zipper hooks. I can't tell you how of those things I got. They actually have come in handy though. |

You know, I beleive in the "Value" of the club. I've been a "Life Member" since 1993 and a "Trophy Member...SORTA"" since last fall. My wife sent the reply back to them and never heard anything back even though they sent the membership things to us. ANYWAYS..what is the "VALUE" of the club???? In a nutshell, the ability to to meet great folks and friends...This last week is a great example. A friend who came down on a 9 hour drive to "Babysit" me while my brise took a week off to go visit our son and take a break from caring for me. Miss Kathy has been riding herd on me WITHOUT a break since January. Tom drove down so she couod go on the trip. Had he NOT come, she would NOT go. There are alot more of these "benifits" I have experienced over the years. From the very start, through a battle with cancer, heart attacks and surguries and finally this last. Show me somewhere else with these "BENIFITS". From the top management and president of the club on to the newest member the "CLUB" has come through with these "Special Unadvertised Benifits" You just have to be ready to extend the same back when it's given to you and make ythe mo of the club. |

i resieved a sigle blade revelation amp folding knife by real avid to test and it was pretty good . and as for tresure hunting the perpose of field testing isnt about getting free stuff its about testing items so you can give hunting equipment manufacterers feedback so they can see if there items apeal to the masses and how they can improve the items thet they make for hunters sutch as your self |

as long as your a member you can product test its not hard to get involed. wen i buy an item for hunting i tend to lean tords items that have had feeback not take a chance on somethin that hasnt been tested. i dont like throwing my money away thats why product tests are important |

I just wanna know how come the giveaways havent been updated yet is that too much to ask? I have actually recieved 2 test items to keep myself but like stated earlier i did pay for some books then asked to stop sending them and they did! I do think its random selection and this is just for promotional items that are really tax write offs! |
