Mule deer will be found in the Southwesteren part of the state, check the Web site for more information on public & guided hunts. I think all of it is listed under the State Parks, web site. The area around Davis Mountian, will have some Mule Deer.

Based on what I've seen for years, the best place for Texans to hunt mule deer seems to be in my home state of Colorado. Hard to argue with that when you see literally thousands of trucks with Texas plates in the high country.

Look around Alpine, Fort Davis, Sanderson or Del Rio all great mule deer country. Belive me I should know I live just north of these towns about 2-3 hours.
