It is not just limited to stores if you own your own home go to the tax assesors office with your DD-214 and you get a tax break on property and school yaxes. If you are military disabled you get more. Also some states give discounts or free licenses to disabled vets. I'm 50% and my total cost for all mt licenses is $25 that's fishing, small game, big game, archery, muzzleloader, and turkey tags. Dern sight better than the C note I paid before I got my disability.

I'm a vet of 16 years in the army. Have been out of the Army since the year 2000,and know one has ever told me that you should go to your court house to register as a vetran. Does this give you any more having done this. THANK YOU FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED OUR GREAT COUNTRY AND TO THOSE THAT ARE STILL SERVING.

Some states have separate county Veterans offices and not always in the court house .Ours is in the county administration building .Everybody should register thier dd214 with them just if something happens and it gets destroyed .It makes it easier to get a copy of it .

I stayed at the Excaliber Hotel and Casino in Vegas, and while taking my family to the buffet, I asked if they gave a Military or Veterans discount - 10% off the whole bill.

When I was forced medically retired I was issued a US Army ID card ( blue ) that shows my retirement status and after getting a letter from the VA stating my 100% disability rating I pay no county taxes on my home. I was also issued a FREE Lifetime Hunting and Fishing License from the state of Georgia.

Utah has a provision on drivers license for vets, just show your dd214 when renewing.
