request free cookbook and field knife

They just like to irretate a bunch of old farts on here .Sent for my free gifts .Now wait and see iff it true .Or just another gimmick .

I'm choosing to simply ignore 'em. We could always provide them with a delivery date... ;-) but that could probably get us in trouble with the webbies. In the old system, there used to be a way to specify users to ignore, not sure if that capability is in this new and improved system or not.... most likely not.

oh, it's true holly, but I wouldn't advise holding your breath for arrival. I can't recall how long ago it was that I filled out the link but recently I received not one, but TWO sets of the double knives. No cookbooks yet, so the current score is: Knives 2 Cookbooks 0
Hellofitis, the cookbook was what I was interested in... lol Nothing going to replace my vintage Case hunting knife.

I finally decided to check out what all the commotion was about, so I filled out the form also. Like Steve said, now it's a wait and see game. I'm still trying to figure out what the "hook" will be.

I've received nothing other than the 2-double knife sets with sheaths. Needed sharpened but would do in a pinch. Made in China of course...

Look the cookbook ain't anything special by no means so don't get to upset if you don't get it. Hell I'm sure that most of us have better recipes for their game than what they have in this cookbook. Just share your recipes with each other and enjoy. Also the knives are junk but like Scalvin said they'd do in a pinch.


Now on a side note, if you want a good cajun food cookbook look for Prejeans cookbook. Now that's a cookbook. My wife now makes the best crawfish eatuffe I have ever had thanks to that book. Also some of the game recipes are great.

Oh, I don't doubt that. I'm the cook in the house and really don't know how to follow a recipe anyhow but I have gotten some ideas from them from time to time. My wife get's so ticked. She'll ask, "how's you make that". To which I say "oh, some of 'abc' and a little 'def', etc" lol

I get asked all the time for my recipes, and since they're all in my head, I often have a problem telling folks what goes into them and how to prepare them. Just know this: Tony Cachere's Cajun Seasoning, Lawry's Seasoned Salt, Soy Sauce, Worceshtershire sauce, Cajun hot sauce, garlic, black and red pepper, and Old Bay Seafood Seasoning are the main spices in practically every main dish I prepare. Bar-B-Q sauce is always a mustard based sauce, and Venison, shrimp, or smoked sausage with either ham or chicken, and rice is usually used in some combination or another!

Free? Gift?? Good grief....been so long I can't remember if I got one or not....oh well I guess I just have to put up with all of you...lol!

What I'd like to know, is where did all of these folks hear about this free cookbook and knife set offer in the first place. I hadn't seen or heard anything about it 'till everyone started posting their orders. Then when someone posted the correct site up in the questions section, I finally opened the site to see what it was all about. No explanation, just a form to fill out with e-mail address and member number, and a statement to allow 2 to 4 weeks for delivery. I'm still trying to figure out what the bottom line hook is to this offer, and how it's going to end up generating income for the NAMG.

Meantime, I've tried to vote at the NAHCmentor.com site for the mentor of the year, and there isn't any way to vote! Anyone else tried to vote in this........better yet, anyone been able to actually cast a vote. If so, please fill me in!!!!!!
