Pro union  or anti union the post is about the chinese junk being sold/given away on here.My idea is to somewhat form a union on here and all the members that get made in china junk from here simply send it back with the comment that you as a U.S. citizen do not support the distrubution of chinese made products and if it continues you will have to remove your membership thus hitting them where it counts IN THE POCKET.

gparlette, the unions are the reason for the Chinese junk! You obviously are an annual member and have the option of not renewing your membership. Many of us, are either Life Members or Trophy Life Members, and the company already has our money. All we can do is refuse to purchase the sheit............and beitch about it!

You may want to form a GROUP to protest, but don't dare use the term UNION if you want any majority of members to support the group, as most of us are adamantly anti-union( there are some exceptions, but not a whole lot)!

Agree with RT.
Reason they are promoting junk from the Chicons is because it's cheap and they can make more money to send the staff on 2-3 all inclusive trips every year to write a 2 page article in the magazine and TV Show.

Even back when the NAHC was first formed by Steve and Paul Burke in the late 70's, the original Charter Member's belt buckle was made in China, so the NAHC has a long history of dealing with the Chinese, so none of this is anything new.

Both of mine, the Charter and the Life are platinum trimmed in gold, and have "Made in China" stamped on the back. I wear my LM buckle every day, so I just double checked!

Some Chinese products are pretty good quality. My problem is in the fact that Chinese leaders have stated, ever since the days of Mao Tse Tung, that their objective is to take over and conquer the US. They are steadily doing so with the investments, and loans while also receiving huge portions of that money returned to them in the form of foreign aid. Now, we have more and more companies sending work and investing into their economy...........an economy that one day may be used to develop better weapons and tactics for an all out military assault against the US. Everyday, we read of Chinese espionage against our Government, our military, and our technology, yet we continue to fund a country that blatantly funds enemies such as North Korea, Miranmar, Iran, and who knows how many others. Ever wonder just where all of those AK-47s that the Mexican drug cartels purchase through Nicaragua and Venezuela originate? Where do you imagine the funding is generated from that allows those weapons to be produced?

I will agree that when it comes to Automobiles, many of the components are manufactured in Japan, Germany, Mexico, and Canada; but, the last I heard none of those countries have actually declared an intent to pull down the US!!!!!!!!

I think the key word is NORTH AMERICAN hunting club, not chinese hunting club. I got the eight kniife collecters series, about 1/2 way through I notice china on the knife. Now there trying to push more chinese crap via NORTH AMERICAN fishing club. I'm pretty tired ceo's and editors. GOD bless the American blue collar worker.

I just got off the phone w/member services.Buyer beware!!!Chinese junk not eligleable for exchange or refund .You buy it you own it!!

It took4 weeks +numerus "E" mails to reach this answer stuff purchased on line has no warranty as far as quality or value!

I was told different things when i first contacted the "club",first return label was in the mail and should arrive in 10 to 14 days.three weeks later "E"mail some one would be in touch with in 24/48 hours. Now I am told I should have read fine print.ALL SALES FINAL NO RETURNS.The "CLUB" offered the knnife for sale but will stand behind the product.

Stay w/ Cabellas,Midway USA.Brownells etc. as they do honor their customer

The way I see it is if you buy low priced merchandise you get low quality merchandise, regardless of where it's made. Union bashing has no place on these forums. Most products seem to be made in china or some other country anymore, this is due to outsourcing, which in turn puts americans out of jobs. I try to buy american as much as possible, but I also look at quality, if the quality of something is better from China, will I save a buck? You bet I will. Most major knife makers are now having their products made in China, Buck Knives for one. They are all trying to save a nickle. Do I like it, nope. But nothing I can do about it. JMHO

SALBERS, Buck knives(as well as many other American knife manufacturers) has a line of knives that are made in China, but those are for their cheaper low end market. Buck still manufactures the majority of their knives in Post Falls, Idaho. Those are even better quality than some of their products from years ago! To insure you are buying American made knives ( of any brand name) look for the American flag on the package, and made in the USA on the tang. It is illegal to use either identifier on any knife that isn't 100% manufactured in the USA!!!!!!!!!
Some of the finest cutlery on the market today comes from Japan, Spain, and Italy; while German cutlery has always been the creme of the crop in quality steel and workmanship. Even the Swedes, Norwegians, and Danes are now making superior quality knives. Boker and Puma both have a line of knives that are made in Argentina that are the finest first quality. SOG which is one of the most popular lines in use today, especially among LEOs. Fire and Rescue, as well as our military, or mostly manufactured in China and are certainly not cheap or cheaply made.

I will agree that the knives offered by the NAHC are of the lowest end and cheapest quality representative of Chinese manufacture, which says a lot about this company and it's quality and value systems!!

BTW, union bashing is fine, especially considering that unions helped elect Obama and the majority of the Democrats in office. You know those same Democrats who sponsored, supported and passed NAFTA which sent thousands of jobs to Mexico and South America!!!!!!!!

rthomas4, I agree with you on the knife issue, and am aware that Buck has only some of their product made in China. And there are some very well made knives from other countries. So far as Unions go, I would hope that Union member or non member people would make up their won mind as to who to vote for. I was a Union member for quite some time and never voted the way they told me to. I have always looked at where any candidate stood on my gun rights first, and their record on taxation second, all other views in importance to myself and my family. I have voted since the 60's and fought for my gun rights since I was able to vote. It has always bothered me that I usually end up voting for what I consider the lesser of two evils, due to none of them that I feel I could trust any further than I could throw them. We need to clean house and start fresh, with common working people who have at least some common sense and would live up to their campaign promises. Just my opinion, take it or leave it.
