How bout I entice y'all with some homemade deer sausage with pepper & onions. red hot garlic wings, homemade cider, ceegars and a few frosties. Now don't dat sound good.

Not  much going on with me.  Go to work, move stuff to the new house, go to work, move stuff...

Moving day is June 23.  I've got a wedding to go to on June 26 but it's late in the day.  I'm trying to put together a trip to the range on SGL 77 for that morning.  It'll be the first time I've done any shooting since last October when I fell and screwed my knees.  Talk about withdrawal!

DS, that IS great news about your wife. Hope she's back to normal real soon.
Been awfully busy this past week, removing wall paper/paint, then skim coating, and then repainting walls and ceilings in two bedrooms of my son's house. The previous owners wallpapered the dam ceilings, what a fun job that was to remove it. Did my back wonders. Still can't straighten up. New carpet was installed this week, so now it's ready for sale. Most of his furniture and stuff is removed, and I'm going on vacation on my patio for a few days to recover.
I'm ready for a few frosties and to pig out on that P&O deer sausage. Maybe bust some balls with Cindy-san. I'm taling 8-ball.
Drinks on the snake.

DS,

Glad your wife is doing much better!!! I know it sucks when a loved one gets sick. I have been busy with work and the farm gardening and such takes alot of time. I have been seeing a few deer around at the farm but not liike I usually do, must be the weather or something spooking them. Work has been real intense lately, since they put me under a deadline to get 387 signs up in 2 weeks for an upgrade before the end of the fiscal year. What sucks about that is the foreman takes about every other day or at least a half a day off, and doesn't care about the deadline. I will be damned if he is going to make me loose production just so he can go golfing. We got a job to do and we are damn well going to do it. I was told by our District Office that we do more in one day than any of the other counties in the district combined do. I guess it is the good experience they have doing the job, as well as, the training I provided to the rest of the crew. I am not one to pat myself on the back like it sounds but I guess sometimes you need to do that when management need to get a project done. Damn I am starting to sound like a company man.  Please... someone stop me !!!!

Well Gents, have a couple on the Shovel and don't hang onto any lightening rods this week.

Just dropped in for a few frosted mugs of OLD#7/ginger. Cindy-san has the AC on, Zac Brown Band is playing on the big screen, and I'm fixin to play some pool.
I'd buy, but this joint is empty...... cept for me and Cindy. Bar is open on the snake if anyone drops in.
Maybe later on, at home, I'll sneak in the pool with the Mrs. and play torpedo.

I just stopped in for a cold one b4 heading to bed for the third time. I was off today for a dr's appointment and got bad news... they say I have C.O.P.D. , so I guess a good cigar is out for me. I have been busy over at the farm with the garden and mowing. I have only about 6 acres to mow and I am done with that chore for the yeaar.

I have a small problem with a ground hog that keeps invading my garden over there. The damn thing ate a half a row of cukes in one night so I tried to smoke it out which didn't work. I set some traps out on it's runway and I will check them in the morning. I thought about a snare but haven't had much luck with those. Anyone have any good ideas on what I can use for bait for a ground hog besides my garden goodies.

I have tomatoes on the vine as well as cukes about 8" long and should have some squash by the end of next week if the critters stay out of it.

I don't know if I will finish the rest of the week out at work because of ... again another budget impass... The government in this state needs an overhaul. June 30th is the end of the fiscal year and the governor can't work us without pay like he did last year( law passed last year to prevent that) so I may be furloughed until the budget is passed. I sure hope people remember this come November when they make their trip to the voting polls.

Well gents have a cold on me and thanks for the couple ya got me. Hey here you guys might as well smoke up these cigars since I can't have them.

I've never tried them but I've heard snow peas make a good bait for groundhog trapping.

Bummer on the doc's news, take care of yourself.

Well I think I got the hog problem under control for now.. since I caught the little pest. It took a couple of sets but I got him yesterday. I reset just in case there are more than one under that building.

When I pulled in over at the farm yesterday and turned my truck off and didn't get out ... because thiry yards away were 2 dandy Bucks under an apple tree. When I say dandy I mean huge for July. The one was an 8 point with about a 18 inch spread but the other was a 9 that I could count with about a 22 inch spead. I watched them for about 20 minutes until they move off into the shade down by the creek. I sure hope they stick around until we get a season to hunt them in. Either one would look good hanging on my wall. I took some pics with my phone but they didn't turn out very well. I am going to start carrying one of those box cameras with me.

I am going to take my daughter in to get her first hunting license today so we can apply for our antlerless tags on tuesday.

Keep the Beer cold Gents cause it is going to be a hot one the next few days. Monday in the 90's here so you in the south will probably be warmer

It's been awhile, but I'm back and it be time to get da Bar open and to get cindy-san some patronage and check out her new scantly outfits and also to have a few frosties. She is looking mitey fine and the colduns are going down real smooth, so come on in and have a few with me, since i be a buy'n, and we can watch the race and cindy-sans form.
