Hey Snake and Skwirl,

Glad you liked the seafood and I am doing much better now, than I was when we went up north. It was a ruff couple of days but the meds kicked in and bound me up as tight as a ratchet strap. I haven't been out for anymore hunts but I still hear them in the mornings as I am heading out the door for work. I have however been working at the farm ( evenings and weekends ) getting a bridge built across the stream that flows through it. I plan on putting a new road in and will need the bridge to traverse the stream. I am glad my late uncle had gotten those telephone poles when they changed them 5 years ago, they should make good beams. I still have enough poles left to build my hunting box a.k.a. tree stand. I think a 10'x10' should give me enough room. I know it sounds like a hotel room but I might need room for visitors and I want to be able to park my truck under it.

I talked with the neighbor at the farm and she told me that there was someone else over there hunting this past week. I guess I will have to put the run on them if I don't know them. I also told her to get me plate numbers so I can find out who they are if she can. I wonder what part of ask permission they don't understand!

I hope the rest of you gents are having better luck than me right now. It seems that work and work is all I have been doing since the weather go nice. of course the rain and thunderstorms don't help either.

Well I guess I'll go to town to get spikes for the bridge decking, OH! can't for get the beer! I can throw it in the stream to keep it cold.

Well gents keep the powder dry and the beer cold and have a couple on me and here have a ceegar on me as well.

after a day at the beach it is finally time to relax with a rum and coke...a late afternoon thunderstorm left it nice and cool here now. A far cry from the lo 90s and high humidity that we have been experiencing.

I really don't need the choco bar DS I am just glad to be back in some sort of order!

I was out this morning for a try again at one of those bearded chickens but what I done was scared up was a big 'ole hen but she didn't even come close .... a hundred yards and that was it, then she went the other way. The goobers are either gone or shot or maybe both. At least the hen has made it to make more. You can't tell what those poachers will shoot.( you know the ones who don't ask permission).

The Bridge is taking shape fast, decking is on and now I am working on the approaches. I have the beams set for the one side but I have to jack the other side up in order to get the last support in place. I have been working at it regularly on the weekends. I will try to load a pic I took last weekend when we were setting beams.

Have a cold one on me guys and I shall converse at a later date, and try to cool and dry this week comming!

Well, the bridge is done and garden planted so I guess I can relax the rest of the long weekend. I may even take the free time to go catch a few fish. It has been a hard past couple of weeks getting the bridge built but glad now that it is done. (danm I need a massage). The misses keep bringing more and more flowers home for me to plant, so I just set out the stuff and said here you arrange them your way.

I took friday off to get some things done that needed taken care of and worked all day Saturday at the farm, so now it is time for the Shovel to lean in the corner and relax... the blade is getting a bit rounded. Maybe with the snooze time and such I will sharpen back up.

My daughter is all worried about a black capped chickitie youngin' being ate by our cat so she takes the cat to the back side of the house.... I had to explain to her that it is natural selection, either it learns to fly or gets eaten, I also have a nesting pair of mountain bluebirds here as well. This is the first time I have had them here so it is nice to see them. I also have a pair at the farm ( blue bird houses for both pair.)

I am trying to figure out how I can load the pic of the hummingbird to the site and not others, when I took all the pics with the same camera. I will try the tinypics.com and see if that will work for me.

Have a great Memorial Weekend and this is the weekend that we remember those commrads that have fallen, and the loved ones that have left us for a higher plane of existance. (love 'em all dearly).

Have cold one on me and stay safe this weekend.

Wow DS, that's scary stuff!.   I hope the better half continues to improve and all goes well.

We've been working at going through stuff and moving things to the new house.  Looks like June 23 is moving day.

Have a good weekend everyone.

DS, sorry to hear about your wife. Sure hope she continues to recover, and comes home soon. Will add her to my prayers.
I'm sure you could use a few "shorties" and a ceegar.... on my tab pal.
