Howdy gents, it's been awhile since I stopped in the cantina. I had that AAA operation back on the 19th of Feb, and had complications for the last 2 months. I'm feeling much better now and I'm about 90% back to normal, it was a long time coming.
Shovel, sorry to hear you're still having medical problems, isn't there any kind of meds that can take the pain away? Congrats on the grandchild still in the hanger.
Dk, whats new with you? How's you're new job? I finally felt well enough to work up a load and stuff those 100+ .35 Rem casings. I settled 0n 42 grns of Leverevolution powder behind the 200 grn Hornady SPs. WOW.... I honestly had 3 shot groups from 1 in to 1 1/2 in., using the Lead Sled. The new Weaver K6 tracked well, I'm really impressed. I have 90 rounds loaded and boxed for the future.
DS#1 glad you stopped in. Will touch base with you on the Florida site.
Next round on the snake. I'll have the usual..... OLD#7/ginger

I'm getting settled in, still traveling back and forth to Lancaster but only for a few more weeks. My son graduates June 5th and the movers are scheduled for June 17th. Sold a rifle to help with the moving costs, hated to do it since it was such a great shooter but I needed the cash more than I needed 3 deer rifles.

Is that Weaver K6 a new model, from what I've read, those are a really good value and work well. I'm a fan of fixed 6 powers for hunting, KISS is a good principle for hunting gear.

As my dad would say during times like when we realized we had to dig up the septic tank by hand with a pick and shovel, " you have to do what you have to do". I only let one gun go (in a trade), in my whole life, a Taurus Mod 66, 6", .357 and $250 bills for one of my snakes ( a mint 6" Colt Python ). That was along time ago. Letting a gun go is sad but you'll always have the memories.

Yes the K6 is brandy new. I was really impressed with the accuracy/clarity and for this old fart, the eye relief is fantastic. Now, we'll see if it holds up after a few more range sessions. My last shot of a 3 shot group went into the same hole of the #2 shot, that was the 1" group. That's when I quit, I'm no dummy.
Cindy- san, an Old#7/ for me and a round for the bar.

Hi Gents,

I am glad you are feeling better Snake, and to answer your question yes they gave a script for Lortab 5/550 and a nerve pill which I take twice a day. I can't take the pain killers when working due to the amount of driving I do, which is anywhere from 150 to 200 miles a day just in the county. When you are dirving an erial lift truck that weighs in at 17,900 pounds empty you have to be alert.

DK I got your e-mail about Grandpa .... thought it was funny.

I started making the new road into the farm last weekend and after I had the driveway put in and my gate put up the idiot neighbor's Attorney called and saaid that he would like me to cease putting the road in because it was going to run right in front of his house. He said that we could continue to use the old existing road rather than building the new one. I explained to the Secretary that called that my Attorney said I had an easement by implication seeing that the old road had been in existance for over a hundred years and I have deeds to prove it recording back to 1895. I have to get in touch with my Attorney and get an easement put on record in the courthouse so I won't have anymore issues with that neighbor again. Now I can get down to business of mowing fields and getting my garden in. It's getting late to be putting it in but I am going to get it in so maybe I can get some crops off of it.

DK you said you just sold a gun to pay for your move Sorry you had to do that. I on the other hand just bought a new one during Grice's 3 day sale back in April. It is what they call the Circuit Judge 45 long colt / .410 shotgun combo made by Rossi. It has a 5 shot revolver with an 18" barrel Brazilian rosewood stock weighs about 5#. It is really fun to shoot but you don't shoot too many 45LC's out of it. They cost $52.95 for a box of 50, that's a $1.06 a round so I guess I am going to have to get a set of dies and stuff them myself. This toy came with choke tube and tool, thread protecter sleeve for shooting the 45's and a hammer extention. I am glad that I had 3 boxes of .410's because you can't find any in town anywhere the same with .22's there is none to be found. A friend of mine had a 1,00 round he said he would part with for $25.00 a box so I bought 500 of those. people were buying them up by the case loads and selling them on EBay for 10 times the price you would originally pay for them.
Well gent have a cold one on me and be safe out there on and off the ranges, and have a cold one on me.
