I know the feeling. I have a Marlin, I think it's a Model 881, tublar feed bolt, I bought new, about 15 yrs ago when that Model first came out. I have a 3x9x40 Tasco scope on that rascal, and I swear it's the most acurate .22 I ever shot. BUTTT... it fails to eject every once in awhile. I took back to my gunsmith, where I bought it and he replaced just about everything except the barrel with new factory parts......Still the most accurate gun I own.... still fails to eject every once in awhile. I hate to trade it in because it's a tack driver, but also hate to own a gun I can't depend on for a 2nd shot on game. Really p'sss me offf.
"puter seems to working OK again, hope it lasts.
Going to hang a tree stand for Justin this PM. Hope it don't rain

What up skwirl? Had this 'puter up to Staples twice in the last two weeks. It acts up here at the house, but works perfect at the Staples store. I really need to buy a new one.
Had my grandson out today with the bow. Seen NADA. Still haven't heard from my #2 son yet tonight. #1 son didn't go because of work.
Tanx for the drink my friend. I plan on calling you this week...ON MY NEW CELL PHONE11111 What a story I have to tell. Bottom line is, I don't have to pay for service for at least 6 yrs. Wait until you here this yarn.
I'll buy the next round.

Got a 3 day weekend ahead. Going to visit the twin grandsons on Saturday and probably hit the range on Monday. Run some stuff over the chronograph and probably sight in some deer rifles. My son is off from High School on Monday, think I'll drag him along to the range, get him some fresh air.

Round on me this time.

And thanks for cleaning up around here, it was getting so dusty, I couldn't hardly see if I peeked in the window to see if anyone had been here.

My desk top 'puter is toast, I'm using my son's lab top. I need to buy a new 'puter.....any suggestions?
Spent 7 days in the hospital last week with a blocked colon. What an ordeal. The colon problem is fixed and I'm doing fine, but they also found an aortic aneurism which I have to have fixed in a few weeks.. I'll probably go to Leheigh Valley for the surgery.
Good news on the deer front. Last thursday Justin, my youngest nailed a large doe with his new Excalibur cross bow. Yesterday, Jason, my oldest, nailed a large 9pt with a broken off G4, with his Mathews. So, 2 in the freezer so far. I hope to get out in rifle... or at least, I hope I'm still here bt then.
Oh dk, I had morphine every 4 hrs for 3 days until they unblocked my colon, I'll take morphine over laughter all the time.
Drinks on the snake
Good luck to all you hunters.

Snake, glad to hear you're feeling better. Buddy made the comment on time, "There's nothing so overrated as sex and underrated as a good healthy $hitt". Just don't do the morphine and the drinks together, pink elephants walking on the ceiling are BAD NEWS!

Enjoy the eats.

Set em up Cindy!

Good news from the doc yesterday, lab results indicate no cancer in my colon. He told me after the colonoscopy my colon was clear as a pipe, but sent tissue samples to the lab to test for cancer. So, I'm a happy camper. That's amazing when I think of all the junk I sent through that colon in the past 65yrs. It truly is a joy to have a healthy
$hitt. Been eating alot of deer meat lately and it's passing through just fine.
Feel like a game of pool with Cindy and a double OLD#7/ginger, and a dozen garlic wings.
Drinks on the snake.

Not too much business in here lately. Wonder if free drinks and a topless Cindy would drum up some business??
Only got a 3hr hunt in this past rifle season, saw nada. Maybe I'll get out for a few hrs next week in smoke pole season.
I'll buy , if anyone drops in.
M C & H N Y to all.

Make mine a Cap'n and Coke. I am waiting on the late archery season myself. I still need to get a shot at a buck, and I have a couple of doe tags left.

Good luck to you smoke-polers. I hope you get a shot, and when the smoke clears you see that familiar white belly on the ground...

We had a good season for seeing deer as we saw at least 5 bucks and a pile of does on opening day. My buddy bagged one of them, an 8 point but my son and I couldn't get shots at the ones we saw. When doe season came in, they were pretty darn hard to find. So we're eating tag soup. I've hunted muzzleloader in the past but not this year. I start a new job in Somerset on Jan 14 but the family isn't moving there until June so I've got to get some stuff out there and into my week day home.

It's a bit early in the day so I'll just take a Coke to go. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yeah, that's the one. I have snowshoes...

Actually, I'm originally from DuBois, but been down east for the last 18 years. It will be a bit of a shock but it's not like I'm a complete stranger to Winter in western Pa.

Wow.....something worked, wonder if it was Cindy going topless, or the free drinks? Anyway glad you guys dropped in.
Hey Dale, please pass the crackers for my tag soup. I only hunted for 3hrs so far this year. First time I missed the opening of rifle season in 44yrs. Sure glad each one of my sons put some meat in the freezer in bow season. Hope to get out next week with the smoke pole.
Drink up the snake is still buying, I'll have my usual OLD#7/ ginger.

Old#7 Snake you never change and for me a beer in a cold frosty as usual (there still stogies hid behind the bar ?) as we watch Cindy's expert pool style(topless tonight , well style observation may be absconded). Dale I would have to say that DuBious already got you ready for the move . It'll be like coming back home (same mountain range at least) .

Yeah, we're looking forward to it mostly. It's an hour closer to home than we are now, a bump in pay grade and a permanent position. I've been a term employee here in Lancaster and it wasn't looking good for the end of the term. Downside is that the 8 month old twin grandsons are in Montgomery County so it will be further to them.

OH well, can't have it all I guess. But I will have a beer while I'm here.

Back to using my son's Macbook pro. I just bought a 17in Dell Inspiron lap top last month, and the dam thing is not working properly. Contacted Dell and they are sending an IT guy to my house to install some new parts, by Fri. I just might send the dam thing back if it acts up again. Should have listened to my son and bought an Apple.
Didn't get out yet with the smokepole, maybe next week. Have to drive to Lehighton tomorrow a.m. for an ultrasonic test, hopefully the doc will set a date for my aortic aneurism operation, the sooner the better.
Hey MRD how you be?? The stogies are still here and Cindy has decided to go topless after midnight every night.
dk, good luck with your new job, extra dough is always good, especially with our economy.
OLD#7/ginger for me, and a round for the bar.
