Not too much action in here lately. Guess I'll just shoot some pool with Cindy-san and have a few frosted mugs of Miller Lite.
I'll buy if anyone drops in.

Well guys I have to get shots in my neck on April 3rd to see if it helps with the headaches. It just never goes away.

I had a visit with DK aka Dale last weekend. He and some bud came up and went to Grice Gun Shop after having Lunch at Denny's Pub, where we met. They ate and I shot the breeze with him.

Does anyone know of any antique tractor parts Dealers? It seems I need a gas tank for my 1953 JD 40 w series tactor. I am going to call a couple of dealers to see if I can get a new one. I did print off the parts list and exploded view of the tank assembly so I guess that's a start.

I will let you all know how I make out at the Doc.

Hey Shovel, it was good to see you. One of the gang was my son in law to be. Now we all know, no man is good enough for Daddy's little girl, but Matt scored some points, he bought a case of 9mm at Grices. Plus we got our bellies filled with good burgers.

I used to buy used tractor parts at Wengers in Myerstown Pa. Also bought some from Abilene Machine. Pikeville Equipment is an old family run John Deere dealer (JD screwed them, took the franchise last year) that has been in business a lot of years, they might have something laying around. I knew a guy that was in a JD tractor club, think it was Bucks-Mont something or other. Search around, see if you can find them online. If not, give me a holler, I can give you a lead to the guy.

Hope you get better,

Dale

Hey guys, I'm now a famous published author!  If you saw "Wacky Weeds" in the letters to the editor section in the latest issue of the magazine, that's me!  Now I'll take my new found fame and a couple of dollars and go get a cup of coffee

Next rounds are on me.

Dale

Shovel, glad you stopped in the cantina. Today being the 3rd, I hope those shots help with your headaches.
Welcome back home jd. So you were bangin the big guns over in Japan? From what I've been watching on the Military Channel, you gunslingers have some awesome weapons. I mean AWESOME WEAPONS. Thanks for serving.
Well now dk, congrats on becoming a famous published author. Might we expect a book in the near future? Nicely done! (a little flyfisherman's lingo).
Tanx for the drink. Next round is on me.

I am tired of being called movie star on the travel channel, by the guys at work. I am just now really starting to enjoy burgers again.

JD I haven't be in alot but it is nice to see you are still among us standing vertical. I am glad you are safe and hope you stay that way.

I decided on a name for my shooting range... MISFIRE SHOOTING CLUB. What do you think?

Happy Easter All,

Shove, that name is certainly different that the usual run of the mill 'Your Town' Sportsman's Association.

The house is certainly smelling like a baked ham, can't wait for dinner!

oops, my dates for the Hatteras trip are may 31 thru june 4, not the 29th. This would be a great opportunity for someone who has never tried saltwater fishing or someone who loves it and wants to go on a much cheaper trip. Hi SKWIRL
drinks on me for everyone.

Well guys,
I made the trip to Hershey Med Center and they wouldn't touch me at the bone and joint institute saying my problem was all neurological. I had gotten in to my Neurologist on May 4th and she is sending me for a CT Scan of my sinuses thinking that might be whats wrong. She also still has me on light duty status at work and of coures there is no light duty at PennDOT. She has changed my meds too. She put me on Zoloft and Indocin and told me that I need to have Oxygen 4 times a day. She also thinks I may never be able to go back to my duties at the DOT and to talk to my Primary Care Giver about filling out my disability retirement papers. I hate say that at the of age 50 I can't believe that I am going to be disabled. These headaches will not go away and seem to be getting worse.

Well that is where I stand for now. I hope you all have a great summer.

Thanks snake, I could use one. Mowed the grass tonight, worked up a pretty good sweat.

Plans are to go to the range on Tuesday, check out my Savage Mark II 22 LR. It didn't extract the first round the other day and of course I didn't have a cleaning rod with me that day so I fired one shot and was done with it. I figured it needed cleaned, so that was the project over the weekend. Even stripped the bolt down pretty far and cleaned the gunk out of there. Couldn't tell you the last time I cleaned that.

Well, it's Labor Day, hope you all have a good one!  Weather's crappy here and I'm getting over being sick but on the bright side, I have the day off!

Anybody out for doves or geese?  I did manage to make it to the range with my daughter and son-in-law on Saturday, that was fun.  Grandma kept the twins and had a poopie diaper to deal with, pretty sure that wasn't fun.

This rounds on  me,

Dale

I can do with a shorty of OLD#7, Tanx DK. This dam 'puter has been acting up for the last 3-4 weeks, super slow start up, freezing, blue screen etc.. Long, long story with Norton and down loading virus removal programs...... hours on the phone with" Vishnu" over in India, nothing seemed to work. I was about to take it to Staples for a fix,or buy a new one, but for some reason it seems to be working perfectly today.... just like the day I set it up, it is a miracle. It's a 7 yr old Dell PC, and really should be replaced.Probably won't work tomorrow.
How did that Savage Mark II work after the cleaning?
My youngest son, Justin, 14 yr USMC( disabled, shoulder injury) just bought a cross bow (Excalibur) for this deer season. What an accurate weapon. After shooting that bow the last few days... I can see one of them sticking out of my Xmas stocking this year. Although I'm sticking with my Mathews LX for this year.
Drinks on the snake.

I don't know what is going on with the Mark II, it ejects everything except the PMC without a hitch.  I know I used the PMC before and don't remember any problems.  I made all sorts of case measurements on the various brands, the PMC non ejectors were right within the averages for all the brands that worked.  I haven't had a chance to try any of it in some other 22 (good thing I have more than 1)

Oh well, it's a reason to go to the range.

Here's hoping the swamplike weather clears soon.
