Congratulations on the 13 weeks. The doc told my wife, "quit smoking now, we'll deal with weight gain later". Just came inside, it's about 90* out there. Sounds like a good reason for a cold one. Dale |

Snake congrats on being "SMOKE FREE" for that amonut of time and yes you do put on some weight due to you tend to eat more to compensate for the nicotine and also the food tends to "TASTE" better. Thanks for the drinks and cindysan looks mitey fine in her summer attire. Come to find out that the pics of the bear are of 2 different ones. one is a momma with 2 cubs(no pics of the cubs yet). Here are some pics of the fish that were caught on our recent trip to open up the cottage and do some fishing. These are the results. The totals of fish kept for 5 guys were 150 crappie that ranged from 10"- 14", over 200 gills & pumkin seed that ranged from 7"- 13", 50 perch ranging from 11"- 14", 6 pike ranging 29" - 35" and only 4 walleye ranging from 18"- 25". The total caught of all fish including LMB & SMB, well we lost count, put it this way, our arms got sore. Click on the link below. http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e...NG%202011/ |

Sorry DS the pic's won't open for me. A guy on my crew told me about a Sow that has 3 cub coming into his uncles place everyday and will walk within 20 yards of you. He said the runt of the litter has a problem walking ... he said when it tries to keep up with the others it will take 2 stpes and fall over but when it walks real slow it walks with a weird limp. I thought it might be a birth defect or something that happend at birth or maybe hit by a car but it shows no sign of wounds. I guess it is about 1/3 rd the size of the other cubs. The PGC was called and they seem to think it may have an inner ear infection but they haven't come out to look at it yet. Congrates on the 13 weeks Snake and don't worry about that little shed roof you are packing around it just happens with the change in food intake and glad you are loosing it slowly rather than all at once. Myself, I have to go see a specialist about my neck on the 20th in Pittsburgh. The neurologist told me and showed me that I have a ruptured disc in my neck and it is pushing on my spinal cord and 2 more disc are bulged into the spinal colom. I have to wait to see what this other Dr. has to say. Hopefully, he can fix it without surgery( they can do amazing things nowdays). I am still working but am on some pain meds and muscle relaxers... only for nighttime use... so the daytime headach spikes still are bothersome. I have been seeing a few Buck running around and a pesky racood that keeps knocking over the trash can at least 3 times a week and Mr. Skunk is back to feast on the grubs in my yard as well. The garden is doing well and should have a good crop of taters this year as well as mater and cabbage and vidalia onions. I got my tiller fixed up so I can till when the gardens done this fall .... it will make it easioer next spring to till up if we have a dry enough spring... unlike this year. I am getting ready for that wedding in Aug. at the farm so I have to get the old thrasher moved out of the way today with alot of help. You gents have a coldone on me and have a safe and happy fourth July ... Happy Birthday America!!!! Sam a.k.a. Shovel |

Seems to be working ok now. Today marks the 20th week of being smoke free. I feel better and can breath a whole lot better. Still can't figure out why it's not bothering me like it did other times that I tried to quit???. Lost 2 more lbs off the belt overhang.... it's getting harder and harder to loose that belly flab. Shovel, hope that Pittsburgh Doc can fix you up. If he does.... give me his name. Time for a quick dip in the pool before the Phils are on the big screen. Drinks on the snake tonight. |

Hey, what up gully? Not sure about "free", but "absence" applies to our little buddy. He's probably over in one of the "sand boxes", working for a Gov contractor. I do miss his wit on the blogs. I thought he was home for good last year, but something changed his mind, $$$$$$$$$ no doubt. Might even have been that little arrow slingin dude, Cupid?? Anyway hope he comes home soon alive and in one piece. R U ready for deer season? We got our doe tags last fri. DS.... Florida?? Isn't that where all the rich yankees move to? Keep in touch brother. Time for an OLD#7/ginger, drinks on th snake again. |

Drinks on the snake again tonight..... 43 years ago today, 8 AUG 1968 I climbed on that "Freedom Bird" in Viet Nam to come back to civilization. Truely one of the best memories I have in my whole life. A young 20 yr old thankful to be alive..... but sad, with alot of unanswered questions. So, let's have a toast to all those who have served, and those who are serving. Salute. |

Snake comgrats on the 20th for the anti-smoking thing ( thumbs-up )
DS hope you like skeeters and roaches 'cause Fla. is full of them.
I haven't been in for awhile.... getting ready for a wedding at the farm makes for short time to be at home. I also have been having alot of headachs and pain in my neck. The specialist I went to see in Pitt. told me I have occipital neuralgia. I am still working but don't know for how long. I am going for a second opinion because that specialist didn't address the reason I was sent to him. In other words he made his own diagnosis. Who do you believe when you have one Dr. tell you that you have a disc pushing against your spinal cord and another tell you that that it is just a nerve, and wants to deaden the nerve...... I only have one nerve left and they want to kill it. Danm don't you just hate Dr.'s
For my Son's wedding I took the tractor and mowed their names in the field. I talked to a guy from the airport who has a bi-wing to see if he would take a PIC from the air. He said to me I will bring my Helicoptor up and you can ride with me and take pic, as long as I pay for the fuel ($100) not bad I guess for a wedding present. I also got the beer ordered for the Aug. 27th wedding date, seeing how we can't forget that. I have to build a dance floor yet and move some equipment around to make room for tents and parking. so you see I have my hands full with trying to get everything ready.I also made everything smell pretty over there last night when I had to wax a skunk that got in the traps I set that groundhog. I think it should smell better by wedding day, I hope.
Well time to get ready for work.
You gent have a safe one and the drinks are on me tonight since I have paid off my tab from the last time HA! HA!

Hi Snake. Yeah, I guess the only way to keep him around is to tie him up and only let him out in hunting season. I'm ready for deer season. got my place in tip top shape, plus got into a club/lease in NC. 514 gorgeous acres with only 8 members in the club |
