Looks like we have to start a new one and since cindy-san has been lost in da newbie s!!t, she needs us to get through this and get back to getting her form ready for summer time. Well I'll start with buying a few rounds of frosties and I guess I'll start with helping with cindy-sans dart form. Come on boys and drink'um up.

Wow, I'm in. Had trouble logging in the last few days. Been on the phone with the site 5-6 times. My user name changed but finally got my display name back to snake shooter. It's been a pain in the _ _ _ . Notice this is my 2nd post, so now I'm a newbie. I need a shooter of OLD#7 and a round for the bar.

Seems I'm not the only one , my user name changed too . They can't do anything more than we can right now to fix it either (locked out) . My post count changed today but still way off and it seems I became a life member three years later than before ; thanks for letting me vent , I need a beer !

The place looks great. I'm buying one quick round, then it's off to bed. Going out early tomorrow morning with my buddy and his little girl to film her first turkey hunt. Hoping for some beginner's luck!

Hey,

Lets get started all over again. I am not sure how the new page works but it loads stuff alot faster andit does show the amount of post in a different form.
I am glad I stuck to a one word nic.

Isn't a wonder what a fresh coat of paint and a little scrubbing can do. I do suppose it was needed since the old one was getting fairly huge. At least our money is being spent on other things than high priced hunts for people we don't ever get to meet.

By the way, where did they hide the pool table... I even brought my own chalk. I will just set back and watch Cindy shoot darts, I have enough pointy things stuck into me every week, DS make sure she heels the line.

Snake,
Are you able to double space with the new page?

Well now, let's just see.
I'll post then edit.
Looks like it's working AOK. I even got on the site this time with no problems.
Just in time to play Cindy-san THE 1st game of pool on the NEW table. I suggsted we lower it about 6 in so she can get closer to the table when when shooting.....but she saw right through the idea. I tried.
Only one more week to go for the turk hunt. #1 son and the grandson went out today but had no luck.
OLD#7/ginger please, drinks on the snake during the Phils game tonight. Gotta check out the new 60 in screen in here.

ALL-RIGHTY then...new place looks great. pass me a cold one and I will pass the ceegars. Turkey has been open here for 2 weeks but since momma and the pnut are only home for the weekends I have not been out. Time with the pnut though is better than time in the woods...she asked me to build some more decoys today so her and I sat in the garage for about an hour starting some new dekes. After she went shopping with me for a new bow. Only 4 and she is ready obsessed with hunting. During dinner tonight she was tearing up a sirloin and asked is elephants had steaks; I told her yes and she asked if she could shoot an elephant and eat it.

JD,

I think that the elephant might be a bit tough and gamie, better run that through the grinder first.

Well I pulled a dumb one yesterday... I was in a hurry to go to my Bros. wedding reception ... being pushed for time by the Misses, and was tying my shoes when the string came apart and went into a bad knot. Soooo, I break out the pocket knife to cut the string and waaa laaaaa, I sliced my thumb wide open. I trip to the E.R. was in order to get a couple of stitches put in on the safety thumb. It is a bit sore but I ask this good looking P.A. if I would be able to push the safe off next week and she said sure. I go back next Sunday morning to get the strings out. I guess that's better than the trigger finger. I made it to the reception a little late but got there just in time to have fun.

I am one step ahead of Mothers Day... I bought the misses an outside fire place for on the pavillion. She was a bit angry about it because she said I would use it more than her, in which I replied maybe so but you complained about not having a good place to make Mt. Pies, I got a too-sha' and a stern look, so I guess I will have to get her some flowers to easy that a bit.

I was on the deck yesterday morning and had a Gobbler within a hundred yard of me first thing in the morning( day break) so I got the ole' hen call out and got him within 35 yards of me as well as 3 jakes. He came in at full strut and had a 6" rope and what looked like about 3/4" spurs. The jakes didn't strut as much as this ole boy did. It is nice to know I didn't lose my touch at calling , it is either that or he was just too busy thinking of other things. All in all it was a nice site. I wished I could have gotten my daughter her license because it would have been a legal kill for her seeing it was the youth hunt weekend.

Well thanks for the ceegar ands dee dwinks. I'll bye next time.

A long time ago, I saw a recipe for elephant stew. I forget what all went in and how long it cooked but it was supposed to feed 3800 people.  If more were expected, you could add some rabbits.  You had to be careful though, not every one likes hare in their food.

Elephant Stew

Don't get me wrong, I love animals and this recipe was given to me as a laugh, so have a smile with me. This dish takes about 2 to 3 months to prepare.
Note: Under no circumstances do we kill elephants for food in South Africa. All elephants exist protected in their natural habitat in our game parks. When the parks become overpopulated (elephants are very destructive to the flora) they are either re-located or undergo planned culling.

Ingredients

1 Elephant
10 Warthog
100 kilogram tomatoes
half ton potatoes
2 bags onions
100 kilogram salt
1 wheelbarrow onions (heaped)
10 liter vinegar
20 liter chutney
4 Guineafowl

Method

Hunt the elephant, warthog and guineafowl. Hang guineafowl to ripen. Cut elephant into edible chunks, (will take about a month). Boil the warthog with other ingredients (except guineafowl) till nice and juicy. Now boil elephant chunks over high flames till tender. (will take about 4 weeks) and add everything together. Boil for another 5 to 7 days.

Produces about 3,500 helpings.

We were getting very low on da ceegars. Now I'll throw in a few rounds for everybody and take a look at the pic and I'll fry them up also.

Shovel, I'm sure what ever you put on the table will be eaten. You can decide, you da boss for that night, and I'm sure we have all the utensils you will need. You can cook over a fire right? Only kidding. Anything special, we can always run into Galeton. Kitchen is fully equipped. We even have a well.
As for the # of guys in camp...... plan on 5-6. Not sure when all will arrive, at least 3-4 should be there for supper. I plan on arriving around noon or there abouts.
Welcome back jd, how do you like your new outfit? Sounds like your daughter inherited some of your" hunter" genes. That's refreshing.
Hey skwirl, how's the cell phone reception up there? I'll give you a call when I get up to God's country on sun. Maybe stop by on my way past your place?
And DS, you da fisher man. Made a few trips up to Fishing creek above Bloomsburg last week when my #2 son was home. We had a blast catching Brookies and Rainbows on mealy worms and salmon eggs. Hope you can make the turk hunt next week.
I'm ready for an OLD#7/ginger, one fat ceegar, and a game of pool with Cindy-san. She beat me 3 times in a row last time. I'm still helping her with her form.
So,belly up to the bar, the snake is buying.

Hey Guys,

I will shoot for a shrimp and crab seafood salad that we can put in the fridge for the rest of the guys as a snack. I will also cook with any of you when you need some help. If I can bring anything for the breakfast menu let me know as well as, I have lots of burger beef and venny that I can bring along as well. If I am going to pack a cooler I might as well pack it tight, less ice but more food. Oh! seperate cooler for the beer, of course. I am planning on bringing up the big gun for a little sporting fun, since I have yet to shoot it since I was a young lad of 18! Just let me know what ya need and I can help if I can.

Snake,

I tried to call the other night but you weren't available so I will try tonight.

Sounds ok to me guys. Been bustin my azz this week trying to finish some jobs my straw boss assigned to me. You'd think after 39 yrs she'd let up a bit. Happiness to me is a warm gun, and a happy Mrs.
Shovel, I'll give you a call tomorrow night to touch base. My home phone is 570-345-6282. I have to call a member of the camp to see when he's coming up. I'm hopin he goes up on Fri. and opens the camp. We'll see.
Skwirl, I'll stop by on my way up to camp. My head is bobbing, so I better hit the sack.
