Miss Pamela, I'm sorry for call'n ya a girl! My deepest apology! I still believe you should have shot that s.o.b. between the legs with a nine iron or what ever size foot ya have! I sure wish you the best in your healing of medical problems. Shots in the head?!? Good night Gurtrud! I can't even imagine what that would feel like. I'm sorry you have to go through the pain and wish I could take it away. What's you favorite food? Maybe I can whip up a batch for you to make you feel better. How bout a chocolate pudding cake! Tell DH Happy belated Birthday. As for the counter sueing b itch, some folks have no regards except for themselves! As for that 12 pt tap'n on your window! If it does, invite him in for supper! Just don't tell him he's supper!!! I haven't had any luck this yr. I've seen almost all does and one spike buck! Terrible yr here in Ky for big bucks. There's been over 3000 deer found dead from EHD here in Ky. And more being found! One fella I know shot a big buck and when he walked up to it, he said it couldn't have weighted more than 100 lbs!! He doesn't know how it held up it's head it was so sick! He tagged it but didn't eat it. His dogs wouldn't even touch it! Even I've seen some sick does. So sick, heads hung low, panting, ribs sticking out, drinking lots of water. I watched a doe drink water for over 4 hrs one day while at work! Well, better get off my soapbox. I just hope my post goes through better than my last one! It looks like something cryptic that even I can't decypher! And I wrote it, lol!

See, now THAT is what makes this site so cool. No hard feelings, and everyone has a sense of humor! Love it!! Well, my shoe size is a kids 2, so that wouldn't get me far, but I could still do some damage! ;) :D And now that I'm only 4' 10" I may have to jump to do it, but I'd do it! :D Thanks for the encouragement. hehe Been awhile since I went back at someone like that....kinda felt good standing up for myself!! I think I grew 6" LOL Yeah....it sucks that people are that way, I couldn't believe they got an attorney to write it up. Basically what the 25 pages say is, Yes, I'll admit I was wrong and ran the red light IF you are also held responsible by the court for not missing me while I ran the red light and hit you. Sorry Honey....with all I've been dealing with and now due to the junk I deal with as a result of this I broke 5 ribs in 2 places, nope....not getting off that easy if I have anything to do with it. How did I break 5 ribs? Well....I've been telling all these Specialists that my hands arms and legs are numb and tingly (like when they fall asleep and are trying to wake up) very irritating, but after 10 months, it almost seems normal now. I also told them that sometimes my arms/hands won't function. They didn't believe me, and say all the tests are coming back clear. I've had it happen several times. Once, DH was out of bed and upstairs before me, and I was basically paralyzed....arms wouldn't work to get me out of bed. So....4 hours later when they would work, I came upstairs. Bless his heart, he felt so bad. I don't sleep much...too much pain. He thought I fell back asleep and was glad I was sleeping so long! LOL Another time I had a roast in the oven, went to get it out to baste, got it 4" from the top of the stove, arms quit functioning and I had roast and scalding broth all down the front of me and in my shoes and everything. Not fun! Well, last Tuesday I started to get out of bed. DH is a sound sleeper. I was swinging my legs out and lifting up and my arms quit working. Something told DH to wake up NOW (thankfully) and he looked over to see me go up in the air and belly flop to the floor. Bed sits 3 1/2' off the floor, so I have a stool to get in and out. My ribs connected with the stool, and ALL air left me as I heard the most awful noise. I never saw hubby move so fast!! He was out of bed, around it, and almost caught me before I hit!! Family Dr is sending me back to Springfield this Friday to see the Neurologist this Friday again. She says something is DEFINATELY wrong and he needs to find out what. At least they did find that some of my problems are because I now have Scoliosis in my cervical and lumbar spine, arthritis throughout all my joints and Fibromyalgia. But if DH gets a deer, by golly I'll still butcher that baby!! We have ice here right now. But not seeing deer out in the daytime. So sorry to hear about the ehd. What is that? Is it like the CWD--Chronic Waste Disease? That's bad stuff! I hope they can get it under control. Too bad that guys big buck was ill. Was he able to get a mount? Take care all!! Oh...btw...I'll eat most anything except brussel sprouts. Dr says I shouldn't, but hey...this is virtual food, it's all good. Round of Drinks on me, what'll it be? Pamela

Dang!! Miss Pam we're gonna have ta fix ya up a special barstool! One that won't tip over and has a seatbelt and airbags just in case!!! My gosh gal, I hope ya get ta feeling better. Hope the doc's in Springfield will find the problem. I'll keep my fingers crossed and say a prayer for ya. Ed, ya Grizzled old rascal I sent ya a package Saturday. Let me know when you get it cuz. Drinks on me and I think I'll fire up the outside grill and BBQ some yardbird and brats for the patrons. Tator salad, baked beans and garlic bread on the side. We gotta finish decorating for Christmas too. Ed's massive tree will require 1000's of lights!!! I'm gonna work on the outside lights, but first I gotta fix the hole in roof "somebody" caused bringing (crane lifting) in the tree.By the way "somebody", the pool table is somewhere under the tree!! GLW, Rocky has built a nest in the tree, check that a "condo". He hasn't figured out the plumbing issue yet. How do I know? One word, .........Raisons!!! That fur bearing varmint is on my list. It ain't my Christmas list. :-) Mikey Mike Gessner

OMG My ribs hurt from laughing. A seatbelt and an airbag, LMAO!! I'll also need a step stool to get up on it! ;) haha Thanks for the thoughts Hon, I might have to cancel the appt Friday. It's for 4:45 and it's an hour and a half drive. They are saying we are expecting more ice and chance of snow. The first 30 minutes of the trip is up and down the mountains and hair pin curves with no guard rail. I couldn't handle that drive if the road was icy. I get nervous enough on clear days. The absolute worst part of the road is where there is no guard rail. And in other parts of the County where it's straight road, no ditch or anything, they have miles of guard rail!! This section has about a 350' drop...there is no shoulder and it's a section about 1/2-3/4 of a mile. Boy, you are doing good, it's looking a bit Christmasy in here. But, we need to get that roof patched like you said, it's been raining constantly and really cold!! (20's daytime) Have a good one Pamela

Well I got the roof patched up where ":somebody" crane lifted the Christmas tree in. I hooked my truck up with a chain and drug the pool table out from under it. Geez!! I've strung some lighted garland around the the porch railing and have lights on the roof and eaves of the lodge. There's a Big Santa out there with Rudolph and some cool looking spiral trees. The best part is the Nativity scene. All done up with white lights, Joseph, Mary, and the Christ child surrounded by the adoring Wisemen. I tell ya, it brings a smile to my face to look upon it. Glad ya got a laugh out of the special barstool Miss Pam :-) Hope things will look up for ya gal. In the meantime, we'll use your new "customized" barstool to wheel ya out to look at the Nativity scene out in front of the lodge. When you look upon it, you know "hope" is looking back at you . :-) OKAY!! Spiked eggnog (rum) and summer sausage, cheese, crackers and cookies for the patrons. Ya'll get in here and dig in to the food and help with the decorating!! GLW, Do something with that Critter Rocky!!!! He';s trying to add a swimming pool to his Condo in our tree!!! Mike Gessner

Kimmy!!!! So good to see you back on here my dear. The better half is doing well. The bun is growing bigger and bigger. We'll find out early next month what the sex is. We're keeping our fingers crossed for a baby girl. Course, she'll turn out to be a tomboy with the two older brothers. Now it's not morning time, but I'll take one of those bloody mary's and give me an extra shot of tobassco please. A dozen long stemed "guy" flowers = 12 pack of longneck beers.

Glad to see all the old faces coming in for a round of Christmas cheer. A round for the house on me! The lodge is looking good, and I can't figure out which tree Rocky likes best? Aww well, I'll leave him a big bowl of mixed nuts for Christmas. I hope everyone has a Great Christmas!! Paul glad ya like the decal bro! I hope our ole buddy Ed comes in for a round. That rascal has been layin' low round here ever since the big tree got here. Think I'll light a big fire in the fireplace and find a comfy spot to sit with my drink and reflect for awhile. ...anyways...... We only get down to the good ole Lukas Liquor Superstore a few times a year but we always have a good time there. They know that the way to sell that stuff is to let people try it........ Last time we went in they had a representative of a Brazilian company peddling his rum. He had a little table set up and was making up little samples for everone that came in. We had come in to stock up on scotch for the holidays but left with a bottle of Brazilian rum too. Tastes like a cross between a rum and a taquila. I think he said it was made out of sugar cane. |

Lukas Liqure! That's where the adults go to play when the little kiddies are at Chucky Cheese. Well, I guess you have to be from around here to understand that. The two buildings share a wall. When I've had enough of the chaos at CC, I go to Lukas. Saturdays are the best with the free samples. Yep, momma has to drive daddy and the kids home after that. What do ya say MO! Long time pard. Glad ya stopped in. Especially after going to CC's! Speaking of food, I've got supper ready so anytime y'all get them hunger pangs, grab your platter, some silver and commence to dig'n in! The bar is open from here on out to the new year!!! Here's what's for supper: Venison steak in sherry sauce, fried taters w/saute'ed onions and melted cheese poured over top, fried skillet corn, cornbread and/or yeast dinner rolls. For dessert, a black walnut cake. Steak recipe: 1/2 cup sherry 3 Tbsp butter salt & pepper 1 Tbsp chopped parsley 1 Tbsp chopped chives 1 Tbsp quince or currant jelly 1/8 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp sugar Trim excess fat from steaks. Sprinkle salt, pepper and sugar on steak. Saute' steaks in 10 in. pan over med heat, in hot butter about 3 or 4 min on each side until med rare or well done. Remove from heat and place on warm plate. Pour off fat. Deglaze pan w/sherry. Pour over steaks and serve. Well, I gotta run w/my brew. I've gotta go feed the horse's! If y'all hear ""Hi Yoh silver, AWAY!!!" pay no never mind. Just send Tonto after me and I'll return as quick as the wind or as fast as Rocky in a tornado!! |

Sure am glad Ed is servin' up those delicous deer steaks. We din't get no steaks this year - ALL BURGER. There wasn't a scrap of fat on the deer and the meat was so rubbery you couldn't hardly chew it. Makes GREAT enchiladas though! |
