Hi everybody

After a couple days and the posts not taking in the old one, I figured this new site might be like what happened on a sister site and one the threads are so long, you have to start a new section for it.  So...here it is.

I've been busy since I discovered that, and have enlarged the Lodge a little, hope you don't mind.  There is now a wall for Trophys...or shall I say pictures of your trophies, because I'm sure we all want to keep our big guys at home!  lol  So make sure you come in and post your big ones when you get them, or even your little ones, we'd love to see them.

There is also a big ole fireplace over in the corner to warm up next to on those chilly nights.

Bring a guest or 2 if you'd like, there's a small dance floor if anyone wants to dance, complete with sawdust on the floor!

I made up 3 - 9x13 pans of Cheesecake, and the bar is stocked.  What's your pleasure?  For dinner tonight I made some tenderloin lightly breaded and done in the skillet, mashed taters and white country gravy, black eyed peas, corn or hominy, salad if anyone wants it and fresh hot yeast rolls.  Dig in!

Talk to you soon!

Pamela

Hey Pamela, good to see you back.

Like what you did with the place.  Must have been a ton of dust to clean up first.  Thanks for the cheese cakes.  Just wandering what the rest of ya are going to eat. {insert big grin smilie here}

Hey great to see ya boys in here!  Thanks for the drink Mo and the compliments, yep, there was quite a bit of dust, but hey....I cleaned this time.  ;)  lol

Now G8R Hed, what on earth are you doing in Missouri?!?!?!  HOW did you know what I had for dinner tonight??  Just too weird.

A bit of a newsy item...I wrote 2 articles one about our Archery season that just opened.  I really didn't think they'd be published, but they were, here's the links if anyone wants a read:

I thought it was pretty cool.  I'd have done better if I really thought they'd publish them.  Now I'll have to brush off my keyboard for the next time.  ;)

Take care guys and enjoy the cheesecake, there's cherry, blueberry or strawberry topping in the fridge if ya want some on it!

Wow the place looks great but most must be out hunting and not spending any time in here.  Is there any of that cheesecake left?  I love cheese cake.

Has anyone seen my hunting boot that fell off the back bumper of my truck.  SIGH.  Yup you heard me right I have lost one boot off the bumper.  My wife found only one and no one has said anything about finding the other.

Sorry I have not been around but I was having trouble get re registered for some reason.

Any way hope you all have a great season.  Also Does anyone ever talk to Deb, Steeve Terry's wife?  I was thinking about her and wondering how she was?

Hi Still

Nice buck you've got there.  Nope, haven't found any extra boots down here.

Yup, still got a little cheesecake left.  Help yourself.  Bars open, alcoholic or non, fully stocked.

Oh was that yours SL.  Sorry.  That thang stunk up the place so bad I burned it on the spot.  Then I was scared the EPA was going to come lookin for me cause of all the fowl pollutants I put in the air.  Luckily the wind was blowing south and those southern boys didn't mind.

Yup that is my buck.  Actualy my very first buck.  Got hard to get a deer up here after that year as they switched to a bucks only license and you have to be drawn for a doe tag.  bucks are big up here but sly and hard to find so a lot of hunters go a lot of years with out one shot.  Season opener on Monday Oct. 1 up here.  Only 5 more sleeps as the kids would say.

Thanks for the cheese cake it was good.

If I can get this to work here are a couple more pics of that deer.

Shiete fire fella's! Save the match's! We got us a lovely lady give'n this ole lodge a make over! (big smile since we have no smilies) It sure is good to see this place again after I almost closed it down! (I reckon you know my true identity now!)  I can now see an influx of new patrons, to pick on of course! I can smell the newbies now! (another big smilie face)  I think I'll have a cold frosty mug of Hiney, no, Hien, er, Hinerk, dagnabit, I mean a Hienekin and some Captain Black fer me pipe. Now I'm going to pull up a stump next to the fireplace and wait for someone to holler supper time!

Someone answer a question or two for me. Question 1. Under my name it say's joined at a certain date. Where did that date come from? I joined way back in the 80's!

Question 2. How did you and where did you get an avatar?

Question 3. Uh, I forgot what I was going to ask!!! I'll think of it after I have few vittles and a couple cold ones!!!

Hello all!! Been awhile since I've been in here, and there sure are alot of changes. I saw one of the old rockers on the front porch from the old place. That's the only way I knew I'de found the right place.Well lookie there!! It's Ed's old "Golden Spatula" encased on the wall above the kitchen door. That ole' rascal, I'll bet he hung it up there and brought the old rocker and put it on the porch.  I'll buy a round for the house, and some cigars to leave for Ed and Two Tales under the counter by the till.(just like the old place) : )  I'll be back to check in more often.    Drink up!!!   Mikey

And you did notice the rocker and "Golden Spatula"! Now all we need is a chef. We still have some danged good cooks like Still, G8, GRAHAMMIN and numerous others. I don't think we'll have any trouble finding a chef! Well, I think I'll grab a bottle of hootch and hit the ole rocker and send up some smoke for our lost brothers and sisters doing service abroad. Take care all and God bless.

WQSS rubs his eyes,in disbelief,  ii's  my ole' cuz GRIZ!! Well I'll be danged, this here internet thingy still reaches into the hollers of Kantuck!! Glad to hear from ya Ed, and I hope life is treating ya well buddy! Drinks are on me cuz,and I'm glad to supply the cigars.: ) Maybe our buds TT and TO will see this and give us a holler.(hope they do) To all that don't know(newbies) Ed aka Grizzy ran this establishment (The Newbie Lodge) for many years. Hence his "Golden Spatula" is enshrined above the kitchen doors. He's a hash slingin' rascal and a  friendlier fella you will never meet, and I can vouch for that. Ed is one of the first people I met here in the club and a valued friend. So all you newbies and "old salts" like GLW come on in and give us a shout. We'll tell a story or two about "Rocky", Drinks for all!! Ed, my addy is gess9287@bellsouth.net   Anyone wanting a NAHC flag should see the misc. post and contact Danny Poole as seen in the post. Ed ,holler at your ole' Georgia cuz anytime, Mikey

My sig pic is the design for the flags : )

Howdy Ya'll!!  Come on in and take a load off.  I know it's early in the mornin' but shoot, some of them big ole boys can eat any time.  Making homemade donuts for mornin'.  Just finished some hot apple pies, so if ya like it hot, better grab it now.

Speakin' of likin' it hot...What's this about hiney in a mug?  How in the world do ya fit a hiney in a mug?  hahaha  No, don't tell me.

Breakfast will be startin' up right soon so all you hunters can get out in the woods and bring back them tenderloins Momma likes so much!!  So breakfast is Biscuits and Gravy, Hash browns, choice of bacon, sausage or both, got some cheesy scramblers on there (eggs), and fix your own drink.

While your out there, watch out for them feral hogs boys.  They been tearing the place up somethin' fierce!  Looks like a disc plowed all back there.  Got the sow, good 200+ pounder and 2 piglets about 50 pound.  7 more to go and a boar that from the looks of him would go about 450-500 pounds.  Looking at the teeth on that sow....I'm packing and carrying a big flashlight when out after dark!

Hunt safe!

Pamela

Man, that was a tough job put'n those new rockers out front! Half a dozen of em! I put another half dozen on the back porch as well. And the beer truck just pulled up! How's that for service?! I called in a grader, bulldozer and backhoe to help fill in those craters those pesky hogs made out back. I'm trying to get ahold of GW to bring "Rocky" back to help fly over them hogs and coral them rascals in a hold'n pen! I saw "Bruno" upstairs take'n a nap. He might help Rocky when ever he shows up!

Well, I'm off job hunting right now. I'll take a cold one with me. See y'all tomorrow.

Before I forget, WQSS, did you get my email on the flag issue?
