I have 11 elk and 9 deer.

I've been trying to figure out an area to use them.  Any help would be appreciated!  I shot one bull and one whitetail buck in Idaho.  Passed on alot of mulie bucks.  I'll see if I can find a pic or two to send ya!

Well this old thread just won't roll over and die! Seems like I used to post here once in a while, maybe I should check in from time to time.

Well Nick, everyone keeps telling me that the Murderers Creek unit is the place to be. I have never checked it out so I don't know anything about it. A co-worker and his son went there for a week last archery season. His son got a cow and he said that they saw some real monsters but they were a little disappointed in the total amount of elk they saw.

He did say the place was crawling with big mulies though.

I've heard pros and cons about the unit! I've a friend that hunted it last year during rifle elk and said he wouldn't go back. Appreciate the info, my friend. Hey Dave! How are you?

Not too bad, Nick. Every once in a while I look at this old website, mainly just because I'm bored! Things sure did take a crap on here. Been trying to stay busy working, hunting etc... I still yak with the old fart Pops quite a bit. Can't remember if I told him you were still on here or not. Maybe I'll have to remind him. I have another layoff next week so maybe I'll check in a bit more often.

My wife and I spent the evening with POPS and his bride in Reno last night. Been almost exactly a year since my wife and I spent time with them at their place. Then the damn illness hit and we couldn't get back there. I'm better and we threw a few down! He's a good man and my friend!!!!

Cool.  POPS sent me some pics of his place a while back, if I visited there, he would never be rid of me.

Nope, been looking for the big boy and haven't sealed the deal on him yet!  Passed on shots every year.  Elk hunting wasn't this easy in Washington!
How bout you?  Can't be any Elk safe, in Idaho, with you around!  How's Idaho treating you and the Mrs.?  Well, I hope!!!

I don't know if you will ever see him back here.  I'm not too sure if he is on any place any more.

It's hard to come back on here! Just isn't the same!
I spend most of my time on Monster Muley's. You can get alot of hunting info for the western states. Even it ain't like the good ol days that we all knew here, but I find it useful!

Howdy friends,

Yep, looks like most of the old timers that were on here have packed up and moved on. I sure miss the original crew that made this thread so much fun to read. I know there were problems trying to post in the past as I could not post for over a year, got ticked and left. Oh well, I am back now...........oh yeah, had to change my name too or I would never have got back on.
