Over my head too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......................................except Pops now has me thinking about a good cold dark beer...............and the smell of sagebrush and pines mixed////////////and elk..............and mule deer............and chukars.........and big trout under under the walking tree over the river........and purple griz poop from eating my gooseberries.........and cold schnapps from the snowbank,,,,,,,,,,and good company.........and waking to a cold tent, wishing someone else would get up and start the fire//////////and the smell of my old partner bull elk up in the hole under the rim where he knows he is safe because I always forget my frying pan,,,,,,,,,and remembering when my son and my best friends son both got their first elk at the same time and thanks Pops and Nick for the memories.

Sittin on a rock outcropping, keepin and eye on our partner, who was sleeping on his own rock, just a mite farther up the canyon. Whatching as the boar griz walked out of the draw just past him! The bear looked like he was the size of a VW. Our pard just looked asleep! What if that bear came out 100 yds closer our way!Eek<!--graemlin::eek:-->
We'd a had to fire warning shots to wake the dead! LOL!

The said pard was only resting his eyes for a few seconds! He had an escape route, but no parachute. A great choice huh, rocks or teeth?

Yelling at said pard to alert him too and show him the old Griz and then watching him scrape all the brown stuff off his rock so he could lay back down and rest his eyes some more. Wink<!--graemlin:;)-->

When a fella does not sleep and has the "cold shakes" all night because two pards don't keep the wood stove stoked in his tent during the night, he has to catch a wink now and then. Not to mention the mice that shared my bunk. I think they left the gum and chewed the foil all night.

Yup, thanks for the memories, they brighten my days.

I hate it when the pards don't stoke the stove. Critters sharing my sleepin bag I can deal with, but a cold stove is so way out of line. Eek<!--graemlin::eek:-->

I seem to remember that pile of firewood getting smaller and smaller each day! AND I do remember spending time splitting, carrying and stacking!!

What I don't remember is POPS even had a stove in his tent! Heck I don't remember that tent standing up much of the time!

The only heat I remember getting from the firewood was when running the chainsaw!

No heat in tent = snowload wins.

At least his tent was a good place to go and get a cold drink. Pops may complain about the mice but wasn`t he calling one Sally and one Betty. Come to think of it, I never saw another mouse after he left. Smile<!--graemlin::)-->

Yup, it appears some folks are easily amused. Is that why a certain pard is always covered with dust or mud? I thought he only tried to blend in with the surroundings! Confused<!--graemlin::confused:-->

Baaaaad joke Mr. Dodson! Don't leave your day job any time soon.
We may have some foreign clients coming to town. Are you up to guiding them on a foulwater hunt on that long pond by that tall pointy thing?

Very good point sir. My apologies for the inferior attempt on my part but I just could not stop myself from the attempt.

If I may ask.....what would I be guiding these Europeans for on this Foulweather Hunt.
