Our season started July 28th but I've yet to find time to get out there..... plan on gator hunting Sept 20th though.... that should be a blast!!

Well I'll be. This place is still here? Guess I'll pull up a stool and have a cup of coffee. I remember that gator too, Brian. When I can eat real food again I'd like to have some gator. That was real good. So was the soft shell crab Lowe Girl fixed up. Hope all is well with everyone.

It has been a long time Brian. As for doing ok, I have esophagus Cancer. It hasn't spread. It's treatable, and I wont die. But it and the treatments has made it so I cant get any food down to my belly. can hardle get any liquid down to it. So in the last 17 days I have had surgery to install a feeding tube and chemo port. I've done to rounds of chemo and 6 rounds of radiation. I have of course quit smoking. An tomorrow I go U of M to cunsult with the surgeon who is going to cut what is left of this out of me after treatments are done.

Like I said, this is not going to kill me. It's very treatable, and after surgery I will be cancer free. Way I see it, I should be done in 8-10 more weeks. I am very lucky, and I will find a way to pay this forward.

Now, how about a cup of coffee?

Gladly, I'll pour. Sorry 'bout the cancer. You are lucky. Chemo is a bummer, I've seen it. Not pretty but you do what you gotta do. I'll fit you into my prayers to help you through this. I'm sure you can kick butt Coffee. Keep at it. Live for another day in the woods. We'll keep coming into the Saloon to ck your progress.....okay maybe have a little nip or two!

Thanks Brian. I can use all the prayers I can get. Talked with the surgeon at U of M today. He's confident it's curable. Wont be an easy surgery, but I'll make it. Wont be until late February. Could be back to work by late April.
