The -16 night the pipes in the bathroom sink and the drain froze and the shower drain also. But that's been it this year at my place, thankfully.

Honestly I don't know what happened the last couple of days...but now two years in a row....we had to have a couple of guys come yesterday to shovel snow of the roofs...and for the first time we had to get the tractor out...I've kept things shoveled out by hand all season...but the wind socked us in.....all trails to barns ...Gone...and nearly got stuck in drive on Tues....holy Cow ...spring better arrive soon....we woke this morning and temps said 6 degrees....right now ...we've gone down to 0......stay warm and be safe everyone....

I've had to have my drive plowed 4 times this year. Usually don't have to or if I do it's only once. Woke up to -10 this morning.

Hoping we're going to have an early spring. Cardinals are marking their territories already and cows are shedding their winter coats.

Yes! I had to shovel this AM after fasting for 38 hours and nothing to drink when I woke up. It was great to go out for Breakfast after my procedure this morning!

I'm with you. Even these past few days paw prints all over the kitchen. Have to sequester the dog in the mud room. If you want to buy stock - J&J because the sale of wet swiffers is going through the roof! Seen plenty of turkey lately, maybe I'll actually try Spring Turkey this year. Only around 10 out of the 40 years hunting. Hate the bugs!

another winter storm watch for us today thru fri. afternoon.calling for 6-10 inches. th you dont know what your missing by not turkey hunting (except the bugs). use some deep woods off and a full pull over face mask. i like turkey hunting more than deer hunting, to hear them gobble is a rush.cant wait.

I know. Spring Turkey is the most exciting thing I have done hunting. I usually get a Turkey while bow hunting for deer. They have a path between two fields they always take. I just seem to get caught up with a ton of other stuff in the Spring
The winter storm is a warning now here so I expect that 7-10 inches. I like it colder! It is easier to shovel!

Thanks for the advice on the Therma Cells. Many hunters ask for them and have given great reviews on them. I have a Therma Cell Lantern that we use on the front porch on summer evenings and it works great. I already shoveled at 7:00 and plan on getting out again @ 12:00. Hopefully the temp will stay in the mid 20's; this AM it was not that heavy yet and easy to shovel, although you could see when pushing it the way it folded over it was heavier than normal.
