Had a nice 6pt under my stand tonight, had to pass unfortunately, lookin for a doe.

Well after a 2 year drought and loosing a deer during archery.I have some meat in the freezer shot a 8ptr this morning,not a wall hanger but I got meat.WHEW.........

PS   I'm buyin start drinkin........

Hey Paul, did you get your buck with the 30-6 you won from the club?  Pictures?

As a matter of fact I did shoot it with the Venture.But I took the scope off the rifle because it got recalled.I have to send it back to T/C.I did not take any pics with deer and rifle together,I know I screwed up.Sorry.

Not much of a story,saw him walking the edge of some pines about 7:30 am,he put his head down,he was in no rush.He was only 60 or 70 yards out not a far shot at all.By 10am he was skinned and quartered and hanging in the shed.I have not put a deer down in 2 years.So I was pretty pumped.I have seen a lot of doe this year so I am hoping next year we well seeing deer as well..Drink up everybody...........Drinks are still flowing..

I know all about the work keeping you busy thing. They've had me hopping for bettr than a month now. A lot of lonnnnnnnnnnggggggggg days and even nights. Thank god that's over for a while.

I haven't had much luck even seeing anything since opening day I passed on a spike...then I had an opportunity at the biggest buck to date and killed two large maples as he just stood there broad side at a bit less than 100yrds....I looked like Thumper on crack....my left leg was bouncing up and down so hard...my eyes were shaking! and after the 4th shot ...mind you standing still shots ...My shoulders and arms might as well have been attached to a paint shaker....I laid my gun across my lap and said ---- it and watched him and the doe he was with walk away....in thirty some years...second case of crazy buck fever...the first one made me go to DR. and on high blood pressure meds!
Any how at 4:20 yesterday I had 3 come in and dropped the biggest with a shoulder shot at 75yrds...the other 2 refused to leave even when I got down and walked to them...they trotted to wood line and watched as I cleaned her....a big doe fawn as it turned out...but meat in freezer

I had one of those years too Badger! I fired 5 shots in a sitting position and couldn't touch that deer! HUGE white racked 8 point! It's just hard to explain? Congrats on the doe! You are the deer killer this year for sure!
