Fine!  I give up!  I haven't been able to post on the old Broken Arrow thread in months, thanks to the new and unimproved Bullet Bored!  Takes forever to negotiate this site and it keeps getting worse, not better.

 

If I can't post in my own state forum, what's the point of having a membership?  My membership comes up for renewal in January and Webby?  Are you paying attention?  This BB is the only reason I'm still a member and if you don't fix it where I can use it without aging ten years while I wait to post something, only to have it NOT POST, then there is no point in renewing!

 

So, on the very real chance I'm a goner in January, any of you who want to stay in touch, please send me a PM with an email address.

Terry, I still reside on Mt. Dial Up and it takes a long time to chisel those posts, hike down the mountain, and stick them in the mail box.  Sometimes I drop a few along the way, they break and I have to start all over.  Getting too damn old for all this chiseling and hiking!  How the heck am I supposed to engage in witty repartee when I can't deliver a single audible line?

 

I think some of you paid Webby to fix the website just so I couldn't drink your beer or steal your quarters at 31 at the Broken Arrow.  Well, I showed you, didn't I!  Up and moved the bar, single handedly, so I could get in again!

 

Big Lance, I don't control those showgirls. I think they are pretty out of control.  Just depends on whether they are smart enough to find the new location of the bar.  Stick QM out front so they just have to follow their noses.

Hello gang!   I'mmmmm backkkkk!   That sounds like a movie line if I ever heard one.  Thought I'd stop and say hi to all the gang-hear all the new gossip and all the old stuff too!  I'm fine-got my deer and 1/2 an elk too!   Just an average hunting season this year.   I talk to Steve quite a bit but no Lance, or Diana, or Pyke...Where has everyone gone?I will close my cake hole for now-catch me up guys!

Didn't get an elk this archery season and even though muzzle loader season isn't quit over I won't be getting a deer either. I was seeing a lot of deer and some really supper bucks earlier in the season but couldn't get a shot other than the ugly buck that I missed.  Then earlier this week (Diana and Steve will appreciate this)  I was driving out to my hunting spot and I hit a patch of black ice and sort of destroyed my little pickup.

Hey Di, I know what you mean, I get a little P Owed at the site too, I have to log in every time and the posts won't work half the time.

So we moved the bar, ah well, so long as I can still find the place and pour drinks and Tom and I can sucker some tourists out of there money, and not to worry Lance the dancin girls go with me so they will always be here at the bar.

 

It has been getting into the low teen's here, I think it is 12 degrees outside right now, I have been getting in some chukar hunting and now it is time to go out to cut a christmas tree and decorate the house,

Speaking of life memberships, some lady with a strong Asian accent called me about buying a life membership.  She kept referring to "his" membership and if I could or would renew "his" membership or upgrade to the life membership.  I asked her who "he" was she was referring to.  And she said the member of the club.  What member?  And why should I care about "his" membership?  She never did figure out I was the member.

 

All this talk about members and memberships.  Pyke, could I get a drink please?

 

So, I think we need a tree in this place.  Have a tree trimming party, drink lots of eggnog and rum drinks and whatever and sing Christmas carols.  That's if we can remember the words to any.  Or, on second thought, we could load up the jukebox with Christmas music and turn it up loud enough to drown out anyone tempted to sing along.  I forgot.  Big Lance don't dance and he sure as heck can't sing.

A christmas tree it is, with all the decorations and seeing how I believe in the birth of christ I will also put up a big sign saying "MERRY CHRISTMAS" not happy holidays.

 

I am making a big batch of eggnog so dip your cup and dance , drink and enjoy and by the way that is mistletoe hanging from the ceiling.

 

We got snow again today but only about a inch at my house and it is brrrrr cold.

Okay, someone posted a link to a new website on the Misc forum and I checked it out and signed up for it.  My dial up works ever so much better over there.  It's a brand new site, so not a lot of action, but I built a campfire ring and have a nice roaring fire going, with a cooler of cold beer, so come check it out.  It's free, you don't have to sign in all the time, and I can actually post without days of my life passing me by.  And there are emoticons!  Imagine that!  As I won't be renewing my membership with NAHC come January unless I get high speed internet from Santa, then I'll be moving over there. Looks like it.  I read the rules, and there doesn't seem to be too many, other than a warning to mind your language and to have fun.  So, not too picky about who they let in, as long as you know how to have fun.
