Morning All.

Doggone looks like we'll have Two Great Days in a row. VK I talked with PeeWee couple of days ago the folks at the Rustic were putting the New Equiptment up on blocks as the Castor was out of its banks again, went over to Mingo yesterday afternoon, couldnt even get to Flat Banks as all but one road is closed, ALL the deer that was in there on this side of Mingo were out feeding in the wheat fields and pastures, Man I never saw sooo many deer in my 70 years at one time including on TV, must of been 400 or more and this was at 5: pm, got a couple of pics before the v-10 did its thing and they headed back to the trees on the hills there. Wappapello was coming back up at 384 and rising with an out put of 9960cfs, heard they were evacing Rumbaur too. later.

Good Morning...erhh, uhhh.....afternoon.

Had a little rain here this morning in St. Louie.  If this warm weater keeps a going, we should be able to find some shrooms soon.  The guys I was hunting with this past week found 5 in OK.  It was warmer there and had been for a couple of weeks.  I'm going to get out there and look for the morels this year.  I haven't looked for them for years, but I'm going to give it a try this year.

A dozen long stemed "guy" flowers = 12 pack of longneck beers. Hunting and fishing stories in progress. Boots may be required.

Good evening all.  Mohunter I am on the same page as you.  I was thinking that the mushrooms should be comming up.  I am trying to get the hubby to go out to the farm in Dixon over the weekend with me and the kids so we can look for them.  There have not been many around there the last few years but I want to look anyways.

Before we got this new board I remember someone either last year or year before last bought some to plant just wondering if it worked?  Can not remember who it was for sure.

Good morning ALL. When you pick those mushrooms , put them in a bag like you buy oranges in and as you carry them around you will scatter the sprose which will produce more mushrooms. Just any kind of bag that has small holes in it.

Morning All.

Well seems as tho we dodged the bullet yesterday around in Stoddard county but, there are supposed to be some stuff coming in that we may not be so lucky with. VK, I found out yesterday that the lake they were trying to fill up was Duck Creek the 800+ acre one that you fish in, the water was over hwy 51 in three places just north of Puxico, water all over Mingo all the wildlife has had to get off the refuge to find food even the turkey, Franklin Co Mo that may have been me that said I had ordered the Morel Spore any way I did but you ought to have seen the instructions for putting it in the ground, had to be Two feet in the ground and the keep it covered from direct sunlight plus putting all the other stuff in on it, heck my lot here in town is only 40' x 100' including my house beside all the maple tree root's you can't get down 6 inches the size of a bread box so I gave the spore to a gent at the Eagles cause he has a big place over in Butler Co, takes a couple of year's to see if you are successful with it also, It isn't like just plant and wait for it to come up like a garden plant I found out. If I can ever catch him at the Eagles I will see if he had any luck with the Spore and let you all know if he did. later.
