Cool ,the one i saw was just at the edge of my yard where the woods start,I heard my dogs barking strangely about 7  a.m. one morning and i looked out the window and saw the mountain lion coming across the edge of my yard and I ran outside to get a better look but when i got outside it was gone.i havent seen it anymore but others in the hollow have said they have seen it.

Have not seen any sign of one but I guess they can be around and you would not know it.  Not sure if I want any around or not.  Nice to see but they can live elsewhere as far as I am concerned.

Now that is something I think I saw one night driving home.

Crossed the road in front of me but was so fast I could not be sure.  Had a long tail anyway and was too big for a cat etc.  Only saw it once though.

Is it against the law in Ky. to shoot a mountain lion?I know the eastern mountain lion is listed as extinct but is it against the law if the ones that are here now are western mountain lions?

I have never seen a wild mountain lion that I can be certain about ( 1 very brief flash of what could have been ), but 2 years ago while hiking and hunting in West Virginia a few miles from the Kentucky line locals warned me about wild panthers.
