Howdy fellow Iowans. My name is Hooah! My friends call me Ed so fell free to do likewise. I 've been viewing some of your forums to see what you guys and gals talk about and thought to myself "I have opinions on most of these topics and if I don't have an opinion I can see what everybody else is thinking" so decided to get involved in the IOWA forums. A little about myself! I'm a life long resident of Iowa other than a few years traveling with Uncle Sam's fellow soldiers around the world. US ARMY. Northwest Iowa has been my home. Storm Lake is wher I hail from.  I am a hunter of most and a harvester of several! (Everybody misses.)I've been a life member since '97. I feel like I know some of you already and plan to get to know the rest of you soon! Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. Hey, Ed. Nice to meet you. I am from Laurens, and I do alot of hunting around Storm Lake. I used to live in Lakeside as a kid.

GOOD TO MEET YOU TATE! I DO QUITE A LITTLE WATERFOWL HUNTING UP AROUND YOUR AREA. IF YOU DO ANY WATERFOWLING WE'LL HAVE TO HOOKUP AND PUNISH A FEW GREENHEADS UP AROUND RUSH. I HUNT IT A HALF A DOZEN TIMES A YEAR AND DO PRETTY WELL. ONCE AGAIN NICE TO MEET YOU AND MAY SEE YOU AROUND THE POND A TIME OR TWO THIS YEAR.              HOOAH!

Been gone for some time because of personal tradgedy, but I'm back around. no bird hunting just deer, mostly around Wilson Island State Park and Little Sioux. I do bow hunt the east side of DeSoto Wildlife Refuge on occassion

Hello ED, Harry here sounding off for south central Iowa. Knoxville to be exact. Originally a cheese head been stuck in Iowa for the last 25 or so years this place kinda grows on ya. I havent hunted in your area but do know that you have some very nice lakes I like to visit from time to time.

Are there any farmers or private land owners on here from the Council Bluffs area who would let a disabled veteran hunt rabbit, squirrel and deer on their land?

The reason I am trying to find some place near Council Bluffs, is because I am unable to work because of my service connected disability. And so I do not have a lot of money for gas to drive very far from my home. Since I am a disabled veteran I have a life time hunting & fishing license so the only thing I have to worry about buying is deer tags. But if I could get some rabbits and squirrels then at least that would help me put meat in my freezer.
