..... oh yeah, I might go shoot some birds in the morning. Hows everyone else doing on hunting? Went the other day and saw Francolins and Goats and sheep all over the place!! Was pretty neat till ya walk the lava and fountain grass. Almost broke my leg! I'll stick to road hunting. Park and walk the lave road and goat trails. Jeff Guilloz

Got two hooded merganser drakes.Pretty birds. And a wood duck drake yesterday too. Momma says I should take tomorrow off so I think I will. Wed I will be back out. This time with the boat. An hour or so of hunting then some scouting. Have the kids checking in to work at 1800 so I may stay out all day. Pass the OGD and here is a good ceegar for you Jeff since no one else will give you one. 1stSgt/USMC

My brother-in-law was sure surprised. I told him he should use a piece of it to make a duck call. He will have to practice turning a call before he uses the koa. My thanks again for your help.

Man, for those that did not know, I was out of work for four months. I was waiting for a good opportunity that would be a career. So, I found a job that has good promise. Worked three days so far. So, I am taking a vacation and stopping by the Hale, what up brothers? How about a Guinness for a tired, hard working friend? |

Jeff, And here i thought i lived in paradise!? we had a nice snow covering for Christmas, got some awesome pheasant hunting in on New Years Eve with my father-in-law and seven year old son. We walked a small portion of our 80 acre area and saw what must have been a couple hundred birds on two acres. The sorghum sure holds the birds late season! Common sense cannot be replaced, not matter how loud you argue! |
