There are no free Life Memberships and nobody nominates someone for membership. Currently a Life Membership costs close to $400 and you can pay a lump sum or they will let you pay it off in 12 monthly installments. |

You better read that thing real close, because it doesn't say a Free Life Membership. Or, at least that's what we've heard. It may sound like that's what it says, but if you read the details carefully, you will get the real info.
Let us know exactly what it does say in detail. I'm curious to hear it.
Thanks

Longshot---A few other members have come on the BB over the last year with this same story and the ones who went ahead with it started receiving bills for monthly payments to get that "FREE" membership. It sounds like the Club is using some shady tactics to gain LMs if what these members say is true and all claims are very similar to this one |

Well that is not good business ethics, unless they just want more outraged members then they already have. I think if they stopped looking at the profit margin and started putting a little more back into the club the word of mouth would draw FAR MORE members. JMHO |

I can't help but think the people are seeing "free" as it applies to the goodies they get when buying the LM. Not calling anyone out on this, but I do believe they are getting confused due to the way the wording is used. |

rt4---That is exactly our point! Advertising should in no way confuse a perspective buyer of goods or services as to what they are getting for their money. A number of members have made the same accusation and I wish I could see the wording that is on the paperwork thay are receiving. For one thing, we all know that nobody is NOMINATED" for anything by any member or employee!!! My 30+ years in consumer protection dealt a lot with shady advertising, signage, etc. I smell a rat when I keep reading the same thing over and over from disgruntled members!

Hey Everyone,
I see that there is some confusion regarding the letter we send to members offering a Lifetime Membership to the North American Hunting Club so I wanted to clear up some misconceptions for you. First off nowhere in the letter that we send out does it say that the Lifetime Membership is free. There are a lot of free gifts and benefits which you get as a result of being a member. If you aren’t sure how to access these benefits check out the FAQs to learn more.
The current standard price for a lifetime membership is $369 US. The club will apply a rebate of the dues you have paid as an Annual Member towards the cost. That means if you paid $24 for two years you will only pay $345 for Life Membership. We then divide that into 12 monthly, interest free, installments. The cost of Life Membership is on every letter we send out to members. If any of you have more questions about the Lifetime Membership just click on the FAQs.
Keep your sights lined up,

Thanks Peter! Maybe if some are seeing free of interest or free gifts they are getting the wrong idea. I would say that if there is any mention about them being "NOMINATED" for any type of membership that maybe that wording is confusing and might be changed the next time things go to the printer---just a helpful suggestion so you can keep all the customers happy and you get good word of mouth advertising!

Peter Webmaster North American Hunting Club So Membership isn't free, but if you pay to become a Member, you get free stuff. But you can't get the free stuff unless you pay for a Membership.... And people think lawyers use double talk and circular logic. |

All I can add is that when I became a life member I was told I would receive free gifts and after I sent in my first installment I received my welcome packaged and there was some real nice things in it including a really nice fillet knife that wasn't even part of the deal. After I paid half of my membership fees I received a nice hunting vest and when I paid my fees in full I received a very nice gun case so as I see it everything thing they told me I would received I have so I am happy and to me this forum is just a real nice bonus |

For a free life membership. is this for real or is this a way for NAHC to get some money out of me? I got that same letter TWICE. (But it didn't mention anything about Free life membership) The first letter got me interested in joining and I did as a regular member. Two months later I decided on my own to upgrade to LM. 1 month after I did that, I got the second letter. It's just something to get you interested in joining. |

I too got a letter in the mail sayin I was chosen out of thousands for a life membership, but I didnt see anything about it being free. I had already considered the l.m.so the promise of more free stuff wasnt going to sway me either way.

Dear Web Master, Thank you for clearing that up but if our dues as a regular member are $1 a month and the longest anyone can live is at most is 120 what is so great about the life time member that it cost an extra $249? |
